The Name of Mary Immaculate is “Grace”
When the Archangel Gabriel saluted Mary to give her the message from God the Father. He began with these words: “Hail Mary, full of Grace.” For God and also for the archangel, the authentic name of Mary is Grace”. The Grace that invaded her heart and all her being. In the greeting of Gabriel to Mary, he recognized in the heart of Mary, a total victory over sin, no doubt in this heart the Grace, or life of God, had worked before excluding all stain of sin, freeing her of the heredity of original sin. In no instant would Mary’s soul suffer the effects of Satan: She lived in purity and sanctity, under the action of God. How did the human race appear in the eyes of God Almighty in the moment of the Annunication? God saw sinners everywhere, in vain He looked at all humanity people who would not be contaminated with sin. But there was exception: in the midst of an immense number of sinners, THE IMMACULATE VIRGIN APPEARED. How beautiful must Mary’s heart looked for her purity, for the cleanliness of her soul, which only aim or purpose was to please her God. In the midst of human beings, sinners, she was the object of the divine admiration, for her correspondence to the grace of God, her Creator, her Redeemer, her Sanctifier. She loved God with all her heart and being, in his Three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The beautiful and significant celebration of the Immaculate Conception of Mary marked the great promise of our dear God to the human race, through our first parents, Adam and Eve, after their fall: That He would send a Messiah, a Savior to free us from sin and to make it possible for all to inherit eternal life in Heaven. Promise that was being comprehended through the years, from the Patriarchs prophets and other saintly people. “Mother of God and our Mother, how beautiful you are in your body and in your spirit. You are indeed a new creation. We your sinful sons and daughters, love you and are proud to be yours. We know that you love us and care for us every day. We want to repeat words from Holy scripture: “you are the glory of Jerusalem, you the joy of Israel, you the pride of our race.” How can we honor Mary, our dear Mother? We can try to be more faithful in our daily prayers; We should salute our Mother in the morning and communicate to her our plans and saying the Hail Mary and asking her intercession so that our thoughts, words, actions be to please our dear Savior, giving glory to the Three divine Person’s of the blessed Trinity. Offering little sacrifices and another way to honor our celestial Mother is to be fraternal and chartitable to others especially to those that are in need of attention, respect and love. These are ideas, but each son and daughter of Mary, out of their love for her will find ways to please her and in pleasing her they are pleasing our Savior and Redeemer. Honor, PRAISE, GLORY AND LOVE BE ALWAYS FROM US TO OUR BLESSED MOTHER MARY. Sr. Celia Campoy, MDPVM
