Phonics/Phonemic Awareness – We continued working on identifying rhyming words, beginning and ending sounds, identifying r blends, segmenting words and counting/blending syllables. Writing – The children wrote about key details in a text as well as the different feelings Peter Rabbit felt in the story The Tale of Peter Rabbit. They had fun working with a partner looking for scrambled up sight words that were hidden inside of eggs. Once they found each egg, they had to write the word with the letters in the correct order. Math – This week the children worked on building spatial awareness by joining different shapes together to create new shapes. We took our Chapter 9 Test on Wednesday.
