    DUKE UNIVERSITY EXTRA-POINT AND FIELD GQ8.LHUDDLE PROCEDUREThe extra-point and field goal teams have been designed to utilize the maximumeffectiveness of our kicker and total field goal, extra-point personnel. We willbe concise and sound in our execution of these teams and our package will becompact but complete. Also, it will make the opposition spend extra time onpossibilities that could come about from our pac:kage.The following times will be required by the field goal, extra-point team:

    CENTER SNAP -.5 ~)EC.KICKER GET AWAY -.7 SEC

    TOTAL -1.2 SEC:.REGULAR HUDDLE PROCEDUREA. We will always huddle to the left of the ball on field goal, extra-point

    situations unless we are fighting for time, then we will not huddle.B. The Center will set the huddle 8 yards from the ball.

    If the ball is in the middle of the field, set huddle on the left hash.If the ball is on the left hash, set huddle between sidelines and hashIf the ball is on the right hash, set huddle in the middle of the field.

    ASSIGNMENTS AND TECHNIQUES:1. CENTER

    Snap ball after "READY".Pass with accuracy and laces up.Set solidly on line and hold ground with head up.Do not be pulled. ..Do not go to ground. ..00 not fire out.

    2. GUARDS. TACKLES AND ENDSa.b.c.df.g.

    Keep eyes on the ball, do ndt be drawn offside.Block inside area. IAnchor outside foot. IJab or lift step with inside foot by shifting weight and dropping hip but not so farthat it makes it difficult for man to your outside.Throw inside arm up like hook, punch and eiur Center a target with your hand andthe ball will be snapped when the Ct!nter is ready. You must be sure thatyour Kicker and the team overall is read v before yOU aive the command.Receive the snap and place it quickly on the spot with laces away from theKicker. Be alert to yell "FIRE" on an,! malfunction. On field goal situations,you will be the Safety on the right half of the field.

    5. KICKER Pick out a spot for placement behind the ball 8 yards deep. Let the holderknow when you are ready. Concentrate on the holder's ~~.     Holder & Kicker If snap is not fielded properly, yell "FIRE". Retrieve ball andattempt to hit a receiver on the side of the recovery. One ofyou will be the passer, the o'ther the personal protector. Beaware of yardage needed for the first down.
