• Coastal flood warning scheme (requests received from Dundee CC and Lord Thurso, - anticipate request from Western Isles Council)
• Stirlingshire Rivers (request received)• Extension of Irvine to Lower Irvine and Garnock?• River Nevis (SEPA proposal).
Key Facts
• Flood warning schemes implemented following requests from LA’s in response to flood events
• No consistency in flood magnitude• Variation in dissemination methods• Requests are progressed under SEPA Policy 34• Key areas of Scotland at risk have no FWS –
including coastal areas• More Strategic approach required
