Holy Mission at St. Bernard by the Religious Family of the

Incarnate Word

• Donation boxes are still available at each entrance of the

church as well as in the church office for anyone who would like to donate for the mission.

• Registration for home visits and the children's/young adults

programs is now available after each mass in the atrium.

During the home visits the missionaries will be inviting the families to participate in the Holy Week’s activities and Masses, talking to the families about the faith and receiving their sacraments, and taking any information of sick or homebound people that will be needing any visits after the mission is over.

Lent 2018 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux

Dear Parishioners –

Over the past two weeks, our parish has undergone an

internal audit by the Diocese.

One of the findings of the audit was that our financial

obligations were higher than what we previously

thought. We are working diligently on how to meet our

parish financial obligations and increase revenue and/

or decrease expenses. Our Finance Council is very

involved in these discussions. In the meantime, we ask

that you PLEASE CONSIDER INCREASING YOUR

REGULAR CONTRIBUTION TO ST. BERNARD’S over the

next several weeks. This will greatly help with the cash

flow needs of the parish. As we work through these

issues, please know that you will be able to see our

financials on a quarterly basis: 1) a copy in the Parish

office 2) Website 3) Bulletin 4) email us.

Shoes for Orphan Souls St. Bernard 5th grade Junior Girl Scouts are collecting new shoes for orphans. A simple pair of children's shoes may not look powerful, but they can make a big difference in the lives of orphans around the world. Girl scouts is teaming up with Buckner International to ask families to donate shoes for children in need. Donated items should be for children and teens and due to customs regulations, shoes and socks need to be brand new. For those preferring to make a cash donation, $25 will buy a new pair of shoes and cover distribution costs, but no donation is too smal.. You can drop your shoes or cash donations off at the box by the school's front office or contact Kriss Perry at 972-896-7021 by May 29, 2012.

• Las cajas de donación ya están disponibles en cada entrada de la iglesia y en la oficina de la parroquia para cualquier persona que le gustaría donar para la misión.

• Las inscripciones para las visitas de casas y los programas para niños/jóvenes ya están disponibles después de cada misa en el atrio.

Durante las visitas de casa los misioneros invitaran a familias a participar de los eventos y misas durante a Semana Santa, hablaran con familias acerca de nuestra fe y en como acercarse a recibir los sacramentos. Tomaran información de las personas enfermas y confinados a casa que necesitaran visitas después de la misión.

Queridos Parroquianos:

En estas últimas semanas, hemos tenido una auditoria

interna de la Diócesis en nuestra Iglesia y Escuela.

Una de las cosas que encontraron es que nuestros

gastos son más altos de lo que pensábamos. Estamos

trabajando diligentemente en como aumentar la

entrada de dinero y bajar los gastos. Nuestro Consejo

de Finanzas está trabajando en esto. Mientras tanto, les

pedimos que por favor, CONSIDERE AUMENTAR SU

DONATIVO A LA PARROQUIA EN LAS COLECTAS por

las próximas semanas. Esto ayudara grandemente al

flujo de dinero que la parroquia necesita. Sepan que

mientras trabajamos en este asunto, van a poder ir

viendo cada trimestre nuestras finanzas: 1) una copia

en la Oficina Parroquial 2) en el Website 3) en el

Boletín 4) por email.
