Muriya signs agreement with Al Maha Petroleum for Salalah Beach andJebel Sifah

Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company SAOG (Al Maha Petroleum), toset up a diesel filling station at each of Jebel Sifah and Salalah Beach projectlocations. The agreement signed by Cyril Piaia, CEO of Muriya, and Ahmed AlShanfari, General Manager Marketing & Operations of Al Maha Petroleum,marks yet another measure aimed at facilitating construction activitiesprogressing at a fast pace in the two projects.

The diesel stations will mainly serve the fuel requirements of the heavyequipment, vehicles and generators deployed for construction activities at thetwo project sites. The continuous onsite availability of diesel will further ensure

the timely completion of the two projects, said Cyril Piaia.

Muriya is committed to fulfilling the promise made to its valuable customers andthe signing of the fuel supply agreement with Al Maha further attests itscredentials, Piaia further commented. The fuel requirement is huge given themagnitude of the two projects and deployment of a large fleet of heavyequipment and vehicles at both the locations. The timely completion of theprojects is very critical for Muriya and we are delighted that Al Maha are able tosuccessfully help us achieve this he stressed.

The signing of the fuel supply agreement with Al Maha is significant as thecompany is Oman's pioneering distributor of petroleum products. With anextensive retail network comprising 158 filling stations spread throughout thecountry, Al Maha caters to the fuel needs of even the remotest areas in Oman.Muriya also has future plans to tie up with Al Maha to establish petrol stations forthe convenience of the residents at both the destinations.

Al Maha is renowned for creating new systems and processes to maintain thesuperior quality of customer services and have the latest equipment andtechnology available in the industry today.

Construction for Salalah Beach project started during the second quarter 2008,wherein the infrastructure, equipment and manpower were deployed. Thefoundation has been laid for several villas from Phase I, large proportions of themarina basin have been excavated and a good deal of the marina quay wall hasbeen dredged.

In Jebel Sifah foundation, work on beams and steel reinforcement are already inplace for several villas and leveling and grading of numerous villas facing the golf

course has been completed. Construction on the 18 marina apartment blocks isin progress and due to be completed within 17 months, and excavation andleveling of three marina apartment blocks is already in progress. Work on themarina has been proceeding at a great pace, large proportions of the marinaquay wall have been dredged and a great area of the marina basin excavated.

Jebel Sifah will also include major hotel brands such as; Four Seasons Hotelsand Resorts, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts and Angsana Resorts & Spas andMissoni Hotels, construction for one of the marina boutique hotels will start nolater than February 2009, and is expected to be completed within 17 months.
