What is the Innovation Exchange? The Innovation Exchange is working to grow innovation from the third sector. The third sector is teeming with solutions, but growing innovation is hard. Innovators, commissioners of services and social investors too often don’t know each other’s phone numbers and lack the capacity and incentive to work together. The Exchange is bringing them together in collaborative innovation around key social challenges.

What is independent living?Disabled people, (including older disabled people), have challenged the meaning of ‘independence’. ‘Independent living’ does not mean doing things for yourself, or living on your own. Instead, it means:• having choice and control over the assistance and/or equipment needed to go about your daily life• having equal access to housing, transport and mobility, health, employment and education and training opportunities
