Teachers Advocating for Play- TAP is pleased to present this proposal for fundingfrom your organization for review. We look forward to partnering with you to provide a this necessary intervention

Teachers Advocating for Play- TAP    proposes to conduct an intervention programme for users of the playing field. Over 500 students plus adults use the playing field on a daily basis. However the playing filed has become a dangerous place for all concerned.

Teachers Advocating for Play- TAP  has been piloting programs related to theimportance of play and exercise especially in our young students who had begun toshow signs of obesity and low energy levels and have seen dramatic improvementswith the majority of the students. .

We have seen measurable success and now we are seeking to expand our Programme to address the need for a safe environment where children can play.Our proposal request US$55,000 in funding to acquire materials, equipment andlabour for the fencing and improvement of the Play ground located in ……….

To use a variety of media to create awareness and sensitize members in the local

community on the importance of play.

To raise funds through a variety of activities to purchase and supply local schools with

suitable equipment for play and create safe play grounds for children.

To build and maintain a network of active supporters through regular meetings and online

social groups who will advocate for the need for all schools to be provided with safe and

adequate play areas.

Project Abstract

Teachers Advocating for Play is seeking a grant to expand our programme of establishmentof suitable playground for children in communities across Jamaica. The objective is that bythe end of six months we should have fence at least three play grounds

The establishment of suitable playground is based on the current research on effective of safe environments for children to play. Funding in the amount of US$45,000.00 isrequested for purchase of the required software and hardware and for erecting of fences to

cover two playing fields

Students of ………………………..School and…………………….are faced with the problem of having no where to play . The reasons being that the playing field in the area isun safe and unhealthy .This is because the playing field is exposed and is littered withgarbage.

The goals of the Project are

Goal 1-To reduce the possibility of accidents occurring because of unsafe play areas by

fencing fields and providing proper equipment for play and garbage disposal .

Goal 2- To effectively use the playing field to increase children’s awareness of the

importance of physical activities
