Structure of FemmesTISCHE
FemmesTISCHE
- Female moderator- Hostess / planning- Event (at home, at an institution, ..)- DVD 10 – 15‘ (film, postcards, etc.)- Discussion- Closing- Forms, feedback, location, payment
FemmesTISCHE WITH MIGRANTS 1
- The female moderator belongs to the same ethnic group and is an important role model for successful integration.
- At FemmesTISCHE migrants get information on German language courses, on the Swiss education, the social system and so forth...
- Many moderators grow into their new roles, e.g., as culture referents or start an education
FemmesTISCHE WITH MIGRANTS 2
- FemmesTISCHE is personal: at least some of the participants are acquaintances. There are 6 to 10 women, who discuss topics in a private setting. Everybody’s opinion is important, all the women dare to say something.
- The hostess gets a small compensation for her hospitality, the family budget is under no strain.
LOWEST POSSIBLE LEVEL OF INHIBITION
- The female moderator is no expert, her job is to be in charge of the discussion.
- FemmesTISCHE „goes out to the participants“: the moderator looks for a hostess. The hostess looks for guests.
- participants usually do not have to travel far: in the district, in the region.
- Participation at FemmesTISCH is free of charge.
