FEFU:A TERRITORY OF EVENTSDear Friends,

I am excited to welcome you at the Far Eastern Federal University, the largest university of the Russian Far East. As we

preserve the longstanding traditions of scholarship and as we track the most novel trends in education, we plan to join the

ranks of the best centers of education and research in the Asia Pacific.

Besides teaching students, Far Eastern Federal University also aims to become a major international center of MICE

industry, a forum for discussions and expertise of an international level. We have all preconditions for that, as the campus of

the Far Eastern Federal University is not only considered to be the best one in Russia, but also one of the finest campuses

of the world. It is located on the Pacific coast in the pristine area of the Russky Island not so far away from the mainland

Vladivostok.

Our University has extensive capacities for holding events of even the highest level. We have already held over two hundred

meetings, symposia, congresses, sports competitions and summits of both the Russian and the international levels. Among

our major accomplishments are the 21st session of The Asia Pacific Parliamentary Forum, the annual meeting of the

university rectors of The Association of Pacific Rim Universities, the First Far Eastern Media Summit, Russian National

Student Spring Festival, Russia’s Championship on Powerlifting, and many others.

APEC Summit on September 2-9, 2012 has brought together the most

influential politicians of the world at the lead of a Summit host, the President

of Russia Vladimir Putin; amongst these leaders were the President of China

Hu Jintao, United States Secretary of the State Hillary Clinton, prime ministers

of Japan and Australia along with the heads of the other states.

The comfort of the FEFU campus was tested by the leaders of the highest

level. In 2012-2014 President Vladimir Putin has stayed here multiple times.

In June 2013, the XVII Annual Meeting of Rectors of The Association of

Pacific Rim Universities has brought together Rectors of the following

leading universities of the Asia Pacific: the National University of

Singapore, the University of Southern California, the Beijing University,

the University of Oakland, the Washington University, the Seoul National

University along with the other APRU member universities.

In August 2014, Ilya Lagutenko, an organizer of the V-ROX Rock Festival

and one of Russia’s most renown pop and rock musicians, together with

his fellows from different countries of the world have stayed at the campus

hotel complex.

Rock Brynner, an American author and a historian, a Hollywood celebrity,

a son of a Oscar-winning actor Yul Brynner, is a frequent guest of the campus.

Amongst the many guests of last year's 'Summer on the Russky Island'

festival were Kenny Belaey, a ten-time winner of the BMX World Championship

and the Guinness Book of World Records champion, and Lukas Irmler, a

German ropewalker.

The XVI Russian National Freestyle Wrestling Tournament on the FEFU Rector's Cup was officially

opened in April 2015, by an outstanding wrestler, a Merited

Master of Sports of the Russian Federation, three times

Olympic champion Alexander Karelin.

A famous English photographer Rolph Gobits, who was

taking photos of Queen Elizabeth II and who collaborated

with such companies as Apple, BMW, Mercedes Benz and

the British Airways lives at FEFU campus and teaches here

since 2013.

The Campus Hotel Complex includes five buildings

with the total accommodation capacity of 241 rooms

each. Every hotel building has 6 Presidential Suites,

13 Regular Suites and 222 Standard rooms.

Hotel reception desks work 24/7, and our staff is

ready to offer you a first class service, to arrange

your airport transfer as well to book you tickets and

order you a taxi. The hotel has a comfortable lounge

area and a luggage room. The security of the campus

guests is a matter of concentrated attention of the

university leadership. All of the campus residents are

guarded by a specialized security agency. All of the

campus buildings are designed with consideration

of accessibility by people with disabilities.

GUEST ACCOMMODATION

PRESIDENTIAL SUITEThe size and the interior of the Presidential Suite are impressive, as

it includes such features as the entrance hall with the full-length mirrors,

reception room with the white leather furniture, designated formal

meetings area, which can also serve as the dining area on the one side

and a comfortable area for the meetings with friends on the other.

Presidential Suite offers a picturesque panoramic view on the Ajax Bay.

On a spacious terrace guests can feel a tender sea breeze and enjoy the

smell of the ocean.

A group of four adults or a family with children can be easily and

comfortably accommodated in the Presidential Suite (as it has two

separate bedrooms available). A personal study, which can be used

for work and for business meetings, is also a part of the Presidential

Suite. All Presidential Suites have Wi-Fi coverage. In November 2015,

the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has stayed in the FEFU Hotel

Complex for several days.

panoramic restaurant, which is located on the top floor of the central

campus building, and a stand-alone restaurant with the summer terrace

at the seafront of Ajax Bay.

For the convenience of the guests each hotel building lobby has

On the territory of the campus you can find gyms

shaded park trails or along the University seafront.

The Campus Bay has its own pier where the guests can start

their boat trips around the scenic locations of the Russky

Island and other adjacent isles.

The territory of the Campus is home to the FEFU Medical Center, which specializes on a high-tech medical treatment and

diagnostics and which is equipped with the state-of-the-art medical

equipment. Guests can also improve their health at the Rehabilitation

Center of the FEFU Medical Center. Here the patients can go through

a big number of treatment and spa-procedures and can enjoy the

swimming pool along with the different kinds of sauna.
