Sandvikgrizzly feeders
Besides handling large feed rates withcoarse blasted rock, a primary feedermust also take the material impactfrom dump trucks or wheel loaders.Sandvik offers a range of primarygrizzly feeders that balance the de-mands of capacity, impact strength, weight and installation dimensions.
SV-H, FOR YOUR HEAVIESTDUTIESThe heavy duty design of the SV-Hfeeder pays off in open pit applica-tions with coarse feed of up to 1000mm, and large hopper volumes, upto 200 m3.
The SV-H is designed to matchthe largest jaw crushers and impactcrushers available. It scalps and by-passes material effectively to relievethe crusher, as well as removes lowquality fine material.
SV, FOR HIGH CAPACITYFEEDING AND SCALPINGThe SV-unit is designed for highcapacities, from 300 to 1400 t/h, inprimary and secondary feeding appli-cation. The low profile makes the SVfeeders cost-effective to install. Thestandard hopper volume is 26-45 m3
with max feed size up to 1 500 mm.The SV feeder is highly adjustable
for tailored performance, thanks tothe following: adjustable grizzly gaps, easy adjustment of stroke length byextra counter weights, gear wheeltransmission facilitating easy adjust-ment of stroke angle, spring pedestalsfor inclination adjustment, and op-tional electrical or hydraulic speed(capacity) adjustment.
With the SV unit, the maintenanceis easily done and kept to a minimum. The heavy-duty double shaft mecha-
The feeder’s rugged body is allwelded for maximum impact rigidi-ty. Replaceable abrasion resistant(AR) steel wear liners are used on allexposed area, and suspended on coilsprings are mounted for minimumtransmission of dynamic loads.
The SV-H has a heavy-duty doubleshaft mechanism with gears in oil-bath lubrication and a separate elec-tric motor and v-belt drive ensuringreliable and precise feed rate adjust-ment by speed and stroke. The feederhas two grizzly sections (integraltype) in the top deck for separationsfrom 75 to 225 mm. An installationat six degrees helps keep the grizzlyclean and increases feeding and scalp-ing capacity in a controlled way. Across-tensioned optional second deckcan be installed for removal of natu-ral fines.
SV
Sandvik grizzly feeders come in three main types and many sizes to balance demandsfor capacity, impact resistance, weight and installation dimensions.

SW, THE BEST FOR MOBILEPLANTSSandvik SW feeders are speciallydeveloped for mobile and portableplants, and small to medium size sta-tionary plants. Compact and highcapacity with an effective grizzlydesign and an optional second deckfor fines removal, they have provedequally well-suited for shot rock asfor gravel.
Dual section grizzly designallows for a step that turns overlarge material, effectively liberat-ing more fines. The two-sectiongrizzly reduces the bar length whichenables sufficient taper of the bars.Integral type exchangeable grizzlysections ensure structural rigidityand long wear life. A second deckscreen section is available to com-bine scalping with fines removal.
Tapered side plate profiles overthe pan bottom make it possible touse the full width of the feeder panto maximize feeding performance. They also maximize the live hoppervolume using minimal height andallow for a spill proof hopper design.
The dual unbalanced electricmotordrive makes a simple steplessfeed rate adjustment possible off-line or on-line using a frequencyconverter. Sandvik’s experience withunbalanced motor drives over thelast decades has shown that theygive very high availability andreliability, especially for this typeand size of feeder, which is ofteninstalled under unfavourable condi-tions.

Sandvikfeeder screens
POWERFUL DRIVE WITHVARIABLE CAPACITYST units can significantly improve thetotal throughput of a primary stationby their ability to keep a primarycrusher fully fed even during varyingfeed conditions. The separate screenunit ensures efficient scalping andfines removal as well as high avail-ability even with difficult materials. The separate feed unit gives betterflow control than vibrating grizzlyfeeders as it can be regulated basedon what tonnage is actually reachingthe subsequent crusher.
COMPACT INSTALLATIONThe live hopper volume is maximizedand the total height minimized byinclined side plate upper edges.
Power consumption for the units ismoderate despite the use of four mo-tors. The ST units give low dynamicloads and very little excessive move-ment during start up and stopping.
EFFICIENT SCALPINGThe feeder screen offers very goodseparations since it runs independent-ly of the feeder. Consequently, thestroke length, stroke angle andmotor speed can be optimized foreffective scalping and fines removal. The top deck has two grizzly sectionswith a step in between for efficientscalping and to keep the grizzly frompegging. The second deck has ten-sioned screening media and a steeperinclination for better fines removal. The linear motion vibration and
drive size ensure enough acceleration(g-force) to keep the wire mesh fromblinding.
MINIMUM OPERATING COSTSLow maintenance is achieved byusing robust unbalanced electricmotors on both the feeder and thescreen. Bolt-on wear liners are pro-vided on the bottom of the pan, aswell as on the side walls above thescalping deck.
ST units combine a separate pan feeder with a double-deck vibrating screenthat has a stepped grizzly on the top deck. The result is better flow control,
greatly superior fines removal and optimum crusher performance.

Sandvikpan feeders
The design and wide size range ofSandvik pan feeders is adapted tomake proper access around crusherspossible and decrease the total costof the installation. Both base mountedand suspended installations can beaccommodated.
SIMPLE PACKAGED FEEDINGSOLUTIONSFully engineered feed chutes guaran-tee proper installation, reliable ope-ration within a very wide capacityrange and with the right flow geo-metry for very high capacities. TheSP feeder is prepared for simple dustencapsulation. It has an adjustableinclination from 0-12 degrees toadapt to different materials andinstallation requirements. Highsidewalls effectively prevent spillageand simplify feed chute design. Thefeed rate can either be adjusted byrepositioning weight segments in the
drive or during operation using afrequency converter.
RELIABILITY AND HIGHPERFORMANCESP feeders offer large drive units andproper feed chutes designed to makehigh feed rates even of coarse mate-rials possible. The dual unbalancedmotors, rotate in opposite directionsand self-synchronize to give the feederpan its linear motion. The self synchro-nization means that no gearbox orother transmission is needed. Thelinear motion (stroke) of Sandvikpan feeders will ensure efficient andaccurate operation as well as lowliner wear.
VARIOUS VERSIONS TO SUITTHE JOBSP model with flat discharge end forunloading bins into crushers, ontoscreens and conveyors (i.e. loading
from a position perpendicular to theconveyor belt).SP with u-lip which has a u-shapedextension beak to center the materialbetter into a conveyor belt or crusher.H version, heavy-duty, for both modelsto enable feeding during large headloads, coarse material and highcapacities.
A wide range of sizes is availableto suit your needs. Many feederlengths make installation flexibleand can reduce your total cost ofinstallation. Removable pan exten-sions are available for some sizes tosuit installations where, for instance, access for maintenance above a crush-er is critical. Heavy duty versionwith larger drive and heavier designis available for all sizes to make sureyou get a feeder with the resilienceand capacity you need.
Sandvik pan feeders are built for high capacity feeding, with a simple interface and several options to facilitate installation.

Sandvikreciprocating plate feeders
SH primary reciprocating plate feeder
Rugged, reliable, vibration-free, hydraulic reciprocating plate feeders for primary crushers,as well as for numerous secondary and other feeding applications.
Sandvik offers a range of hydraulicpowered linear plate feeders forprimary and secondary applications, all of which featuring easy and mini-mal maintenance.
EXCELLENT OPERATINGCHARACTERISTICSThe SH feeders can be subjected tohigh head loads without affecting thefeed rate. They handle sticky materialwell and can allow dumping of largesize material directly since they alwaysretain some material on the recipro-cating plate.
MULTIPLE FEED RATEADJUSTMENT POSSIBILITIESThe feed rate is easily adjustable, both by changing the stroke lengthand the stroke frequency. Strokeadjustment can be done without
stopping the feeder, completely auto-matically, remotely or manually byhand. The feeder can be started andstopped as often as required withshorter delays in the feeding than witha vibrating feeder.
SH – PRIMARY RECIPROCATINGFEEDERSH is a heavy reciprocating feederfor large primary stations with largevolume, high drop height or wherevery large dump trucks are used.It has a robust feeder plate, skirtswith an effective double wiper sidesealing system and rear sealings, wear liners and a hydraulic driveunit with hydraulic cylinder, hosesand a control system (optional).SH feeders are supported frombelow and a separate feed hopper orchute is used.
SH UNIT – PRIMARY RECIPRO-CATING FEEDER WITH HOPPERThis is a complete feed unit includ-ing a SH-feeder and in addition acomplete heavy duty primary dumphopper with inclined walls. Thehopper is equipped with wear linersand overflow curtain (optional). The volume of the hopper can beincreased with hopper extension.
SH–SECONDARY RECIPRO-
CATING PLATE FEEDERThe secondary range is primarilydesigned for tough secondary appli-cations. These feeders are normallymounted underneath a silo or a bunkerin order to discharge material at abelt conveyor. However, a specialoption is available for truck loadingprocedures (e.g. commonly used inunderground mines).

MINIMUM OPERATING COSTS• Low power consumption thanksto the low operating speed required.
• The reciprocating plate is theonly moving part and the supportingrollers (with ball bearings) are neverexposed to any dirt or dust.
• The long life wear liners are of asimple design, they can be made verythick and are easy to replace.
SIMPLE, SELF-PROTECTINGWEAR FREE DRIVE• One hydraulic cylinder means asimple system to power the feeder.
• Oil lubrication of the hydraulicsystem minimizes wear and need formaintenance.
• The feeder is completely vibrationfree and the dynamic loads very small.
SPECIAL OPTIONSSpecial options for either high or lowambient temperature are available.
