Board 01/05

After making a joint decision to go along the route of paper craft and info graphics, I started to research into existing Fedrigoni products and promotional material as well as through appropriate books to find interesting hand crafted products.

Some of my initial sketches and design sheets illustrating several hand crafted ideas to explore. It was decided early on that we wanted our product to be sent out via direct mail to existing Fedrigoni customers and with the sample pack to also appeal to potential Fedrigoni customers.

I struggled to get a feel of interactivity across on paper so started to craft and make mock ups to explore ways of using their paper.

Board 03/05

I started to play around with the idea of infro graphics on screen rather than on paper, testing different ways to display the information and dimensions given to us by Fedrigoni in an interesting and high impact manner.

The decision was made fairly quickly to keep out printing costs down by only printing in two colours plus stock, the colours being Black and the ‘Fedrigoni Blue’ spot colour.

These are the final four posters that Carl & I created between us, I created the first and second posters while Carl created the second and third.

The resolutions of the project were heavily influenced by the early research into Info Graphics.

Board 05/05

The initial paper crafting ideas and design sheets came through when it came to designing the business card as a ‘pop-up room’, drawing on one of the ideas that I had explored and mocked up early in the project.

The final resolutions are very high impact and I feel appropriate to the Fedrigoni audience by being sent out with paper orders as well as sample packs to appeal to both existing and potential customers, appealing to the two seperate target audience groups.
