If you are not, please consider the benefits of becoming and avid PowerSchool user. In days gone by, in not so hectic times, it was possible to make more frequent contact with our children’s teachers about student progress. Now with students and parents not being able to discuss these things at length, a student information system such as PowerSchool becomes a valuable resource of information. Please become a frequent user of PowerSchool. The students, parents and teachers will all benefit in the long run. Queen of court is over, and I would like to congratulations to Cody Jones and Kasey Besack for winning king and queen this year. I would also like to think the Mr. and Mrs. Lamer and Mrs. Ford for sponsoring this years dance. I would also like to thank Dawn Williams for being a great DJ. Thanks to Dr. Kate Bergman, ESU Flute professor who helped Krista prepare for the audition. January 13, Grace Schulze will perform with the KMEA Southeast district Junior High honor band at Burlington High School. Thirteen Lebo High students have been chosen to participate in the K-State Concert Band Clinic, January 19-21, in Manhattan, KS. DeeAnna Baesel-Freund, Krista Charboneau, Rebekah Charboneau, Audrey Durst, Elvia Gomez, Claudia Hein, Carson Hein, Noah Hollinger, Joseph Linzer, Ben Monroe, Kaden Schroeder and Alexandria Wurm will take part in the three day band clinic. Thanks to the Lebo Booster Club, Lebo High school and USD 243 School Board for sponsoring this trip!

February 3 will see many of our Lebo High School and Junior High band students participate in the annual Youth for Music Honor Band, sponsored by Flint Hills Music.

It's also time to pick out a solo or small ensemble for contest season. If your child is interested, they need to visit with me about putting together an ensemble or picking out a solo!

Caps to CashWe are excited about sharing with you a new donation program offered by AuBurn Pharmacy! Lebo Schools recently became participants in the AuBurn Pharmacy Caps To Cash KIDS program to aid in our fundraising efforts. It’s an easy way for teachers, students, parents, family and friends to get involved in helping us raise funds. By collecting specially marked Caps from AuBurn Pharmacy prescription bottles, it will enable us to turn them into CASH! Each Cap collected and submitted is worth 25¢. Lebo Schools has the ability to earn up to $10,000 a year! So start collecting TODAY. Collection containers can be found in the Elementary and High School offices and also at Auburn Pharmacy in Lebo.

Lebo Elementary has collected General Mills Box Tops for Education for years. Our lifetime Box Tops collection has raised $15,402.53. This is an amazing amount for just clipping Box Tops!!! We are asking the whole community to keep sending those Box Tops into the elementary office. Here are a few of the guidelines: 1. Check the expiration date on your Box Tops! Expired Box Tops cannot be accepted.2. You don’t have to trim your Box Tops perfectly, but you’ll save your school money on postage fees and make your coordinator happy if you do! 3. Send your Box Tops to school in a baggie. If you really want to make your coordinator’s day label the baggie with the number of box tops enclosed.

Thank you for your continued help with Box Tops.
