February Membership NetcastFamily & Friends Month

Becca Pietrini: Hello, and welcome to our monthly membership webinar. My name is Becca Pietrini and I am the programs specialist of the Membership and New Club Programs Department at Lions Clubs International.LCI membership Webinars are held regularly to provide an opportunity for Lions to learn about various membership programs and discuss membership topics. This format allows interaction between the panelists, Lions and staff. Today we will be talking about Family & Friends Month and how your club can use this as an opportunity to invite your family members and friends to a Lions event and get them involved in service. To talk about the event and ideas for your club to get involved, you will be hearing from three of the international directors on this years Womens & Family Membership Development Task Force. Before we get started, I am going to provide a quick overview of the control panel for those of you who may be new to the gotowebinar service.1

Control Panel

What you see now is the control panel and this is where you can make audio selections, ask and respond to questions, and raise your hand to be acknowledged to provide feedback.

* CLICK If your Control Panel disappears as was just displayed on the screen, click the double arrows highlighted to make it reappear. * CLICK

* CLICK If you are using a telephone, dial-in information is displayed so that in the event you are disconnected, you can dial back in.

* CLICK The Questions pane is where you ask questions throughout the webinar. Marketing Assistant Kim Heyne will be standing by to provide you with a written answer. There is also a chat pane located in your control panel. Keep an eye on this area as we will be sharing links and other helpful information as it is discussed.

* CLICK At the end of the webinar, there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and share experiences with the group. If you would like to share with the group, you can raise your hand. Like in a classroom, I will call on individuals and allow them to be heard. Everyone starts of muted so we wont hear any outside noises. To raise your hand, click this image of a raised hand and green up-arrow to be called upon. If you wish to lower your hand, click the new image of a hand with a red down-arrow. We will do our best to try to get to everyone, however we have several listeners on todays webinar and we do our best to stick to the one hour time period. This webinar is also being recorded and will be placed on the LCI website in the next week.
