To Whom It May Concern:

It is my honor to enthusiastically recommend Linnie Abernathy for employment. I have

been Linnie’s direct supervisor for almost two years and during that time she has

impressed me with her high level of professionalism, strong work ethic, and dedication to

continued learning, growth, and development. She is an accomplished honors student,

holding a 3.86 GPA in her pursuit of her Bachelor ’s Degree in Graphic Design. She also

successfully completed the Rasmussen Leadership Academy, an elite program for high

achieving students which fosters the development of leadership skills and quality

interpersonal relationships. In addition to her impressive academic performance, Linnie

serves the college as a Peer Tutor in Graphic Design and General Education and also as

a Peer Mentor for new students.

As part of her role as a Peer Tutor, Linnie successfully completed an aggressive training

program, including a four week training course, 6 hours of live training events, and

multiple assessments. As a result, Linnie has achieved Peer Tutor Certification through

the College Reading and Learning Association due to her diligence in completing required

training components and logging over 150 hours of peer to peer tutoring.

The role of Peer Tutor requires a great deal of patience, strong communication skills, and

demonstrable knowledge of our courses in the Graphic Design program. Linnie regularly

exceeds my high expectations in these areas. In addition to a providing thorough and

compassionate student support, Linnie also supports our new tutors, providing

constructive feedback on tutoring sessions and education on policy and procedure.

In closing, I highly recommend Linnie for employment in the Graphic Design field.

Linnie’s work ethic and professionalism, coupled with her passion for Graphic Design and

her ability to develop positive interpersonal relationships, make her an excellent

candidate. If you would like to discuss Linnie’s qualifications further, please do not

hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Bonnie Ostrand
