Capillary Action
• Capillary Action is the ability of a liquid to flow against gravity.
• Make a hypothesis about what you think will happen.

Heat Capacity
• Heat capacity is how much heat is needed to raise the temperature of a substance by 1˚ C
• For example:

• Honolulu, Hawaii – High (Feb 5, 2014): 78 F (12:53 PM)– Low (Feb 5, 2014): 68 F (12:53 AM)– Past 10 days: ~10 degree difference
• Yuma, AZ– High (Feb 5, 2014): 70 F (1:57 PM)– Low (Feb 5, 2014): 53 F (11:57 PM)– Past 10 days: ~20-30 degree difference
