FROM FATHER’S DESK
St. Patrick Church welcomes
Bishop James Tamayo To the 12:00 Noon Mass
Sunday, February 4th, 2018 For the installation of Fr. Anthony Mendoza
As our new pastor!
“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be
comforted.”
-Matthew 5:4
Those who have lost somebody they loved
know how difficult that experience can be.
Whether the loss comes suddenly, without
warning, or after a long and painful sickness, the
death of a loved one can be devastating. Those
who are closest to the deceased can feel
confusion, anger, loneliness and many other emotions. And the grieving
process can continue long after the funeral is over and the visits of
sympathizers become less frequent.
Mrs. Lucy Cardenas, a long-time parishioner and a member of the Pastoral
Council, has volunteered to form a Bereavement Ministry in our parish, to help
those whose loved ones are coming close to death or who have already passed
into eternal life. This will be a ministry of prayer and consolation, as well as
practical advice for those who are dealing with the many challenges presented
by the death of somebody they love. If you are interested in helping with this
important ministry, please contact Mrs. Cardenas at (956) 763-9145.
May the souls of all the faithfully departed, through the mercy of God, rest
in peace, and may God grant consolation to their family and friends. Amen.

Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our
community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering
may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you
close wounds, cure illnesses, make broken bodies whole and free downcast
spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join
us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through Lord Jesus who
healed those who believed. Amen

AVISOS Y EVENTOS
"Bienaventurados los que lloran, porque serán consolados."
-Mateo 5:4

cordial bienvenida a nuestro
nuevo Pastor PADRE ANTHONY MENDOZA
En la Misa de 12:00 p.m. el
