How many times have you watched the news and heard of yet another case where someone who was found guilty of a heinous crime was given a life sentence or, even worse, the death penalty, only for the court to later discover that due to some new development in the case, the accused was actually innocent? Can you imagine how it must feel to be condemned to die one minute and miraculously be set free the next? What must it feel like to have your life spared when you know that you are guilty, while the innocent party who was found guilty of your crime has been condemned to lose their life? In today’s message we will visit a case that on the one hand may appear to be a severe miscarriage of justice, while on the other hand will prove to be the saving grace of all. 7700 Carroll Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912 I 301.270.6777 OUR MISSION We seek to grow passionate disciples of Jesus through worship of God, nurture of one another, and outreach to the world. “As if it wasn’t enough to be our way,

incredibly humbling, and the truth,

truly enlightening, Jesus caps it off by

offering us not just his death, but his

life…He goes down into the valley to

take our death and rises up from the

dead on the other side of valley where

he prepares a new place for us to enjoy

life with him forever.”

JONATHAN DODSON
