Drop-in ProgramsThe following programs are free, drop-in programs with PAID admission into the Museum.

Meet-and-Greet with the Delta Dental Tooth Fairy The Delta Dental Tooth Fairy will visit the Children’s Museum of Phoenix throughout February to brighten kids’ smiles during Children’s Dental Health Month.  She loves to chat about clean teeth and healthy smiles, so don’t be afraid to ask her what the going rate for teeth is these days or why she likes healthy teeth the best.  You can even take a selfie with the Tooth Fairy and post it on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #DDAZToothFairy!

Brush, Brush, Brush Your Teeth! Children will have fun practicing proper tooth brushing techniques as they use a toothbrush to paint a pearly white tooth.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital Presents: My Plate There are five major components that make up a proper meal plate. This lesson covers how to build a healthy plate and why it is important.

Mozart Story Time Part actor, part singer and complete entertainer, join Arizona Opera's Education Manager Josh Borths for a Mozart Story time! Join us as Josh brings his original piece, The Magic Flute Reader's Theater to the Museum, a 30-minute version of the adventures of Papageno and tamino, the heroes of Mozart's Magic Flute.

Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Mobile Dental Van The Bright Smiles Bright Future Van will be on site for FREE dental screenings for children ages 1-12. Families who attend this program will receive a free oral health screening for each child, a report card with results of the screening, and dental supplies.

TFFFN: Brain Time Visitors will learn about our Brain Time programs for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers while interacting with age-appropriate toys and materials. The program is designed to teach parents about the importance of a child's early experiences to the wiring of his or her brain in a fun, informal learning setting where play is emphasized.

PetSmart Presents: Let’s Learn About Small, Furry, and Scaly Pets Children will have an opportunity to meet a guinea pig, bearded dragon and ball python. They will learn about their health, proper care and other fun facts!

PetSmart Presents: Tips To A Happy, Healthy Dog Meet PetSmart trainer Connie and her Golden Retriever Boden as they share important information about dogs. Children can learn the skills to safely greet a dog as well as key aspects about raising a happy and healthy pet.

From First Tooth to Loose Tooth: Your Pediatric Dental Questions Answered Local pediatric dentists Dr. Tim Wilson, Dr. Jeanette MacLean, and Dr. Danielle Goldstein will be available to explain proper dental hygiene habits for youngsters, while your children make one-of-a-kind tooth fairy wands out of tooth brushes, beads, ribbon and stickers. Learn about the best time to take your baby to the dentist, what to do when your child has a loose tooth and protecting your child’s teeth. This is also a great time to get all your questions about our child’s oral health answered!

Flossing is Fun Children will learn the proper way to floss their teeth and its importance in maintaining healthy teeth and gums in this fun-filled activity.

Instant Opera Spend a memorable morning of music and storytelling as kids join Arizona Opera's teaching artists to create their own opera.

Brain Time for Preschoolers (Children 3-5 years) Join us as we develop number recognition and counting skills through hands-on games and activities!

Building Connections Through Shared Experiences One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will give parents/caregivers strategies on how to incorporate interactive talking and learning experiences into everyday life, and discover ways to extend and enrich literacy-based activities. Parents/caregivers will also learn the value of early and frequent verbal interactions with their children. Child observation, staying in the moment, and parents’ role in language development will be discussed. This workshop is deigned for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing. Kids Yoga Kids gain improved focus, balance, breath, strength & confidence through yoga, as they practice with music, stories, obstacle courses, partner poses and creative play. Children ages four- ten and is taught by Anna Blocher-Rubin.

Circus School Circus Arts are a great vehicle for children and youth of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Through the learning and performing of individual and group circus acts, students develop healthy bodies, confident spirits, and valuable capacities for creativity, cooperation, and trust in a challenging, but non-competitive environment. Join us in this 8-week series and learn your circus capabilities! Children ages 8 to 14 years-old. Members/Non-Members $150 for the 8-week series.

Edible Log Cabins This Presidents’ Day, create an edible log cabin in honor of President Abraham Lincoln! Members $4/Non-Members $5.

Jump stART Jump stART your visit to the Museum with a special early morning session in the Art Studio. Includes an exclusive, fun-filled art project and castle painting plus two professional art educators will facilitate the session providing specialized instruction and guidance. King/Queen of the Castle Come to the Art Studio to be crowned as king or queen of the castle for the day! Be the first to paint the castle, make a special crown, pose in a robe and hold a scepter while your photo is taken for display in the Museum. All ages welcome! 1 child per day for King/Queen: $15.
