NOTE: All the classes are on Sundays.

How do you get the best wine? On January 11th and 18th, Pastor Murphy taught a two part series, instructing us on how to achieve this goal. He explains that there are two things we need to do. The first thing we need to do is get rid of the old wine skins. If we attempt to put the new wine in old wine skins, the skins will burst and the wine will be waisted. (Matthew 9:17) What this says is that we have to put off the things of the past year and move into the newness of 2009. During this time of consecration, we should be asking for God’s Presence, wisdom and for God to align our appetites with His will. You have to know that everything you need is somewhere in the earth realm, looking for you, but it will only find you when you find God. This is not the time to ask for His hand, but a time to seek His face. Be confident in this thing though, if you seek Him first, all the other things will be added. How awesome is it to trust that our Heavenly Father knows our needs! He said that we don’t have to think about that. He will take care of it. (Matthew 6:25 - 33) The second thing we need to do is allow God to develop a foundation for us. At times, you may feel like you are in a hole so deep that there is no way out. As Pastor Murphy taught us, the larger the building, the deeper the hole must be to set the foundation. Let God dig that hole and plant you so that your foundation will be sure. Then that solid foundation will be able to hold the weighty assignment God has put in you. We say we want the best wine, but are we READY for it? Let this 40 day fast and consecration prepare you so that you can have a renewed spirit to receive it.

Our Journey to the Promise Building!We want to thank you for your prayers and support through this transition period in our ministry.

As you know, we have recently been informed we do not have to move out of our current building (Peeler building) right away. The Peeler building is scheduled to be purchased by a Seventh Day Adventist church in the near future, however we have a lease that allows us to occupy the building through the end of April 2009. We are currently working out arrangements with the owners and the prospective owners on future arrangements. Thank you for all of your help with the move(s). As we bless God’s people and His house, He will bless our families and our houses!

“Greetings to Pastor Murphy, First Lady Murphy, and members”

College has done great things for me not only as a woman, but also as a child of God. Struggles have crossed my path with classes and living the adult life. However, the way to succeed through all hardships is having faith in yourself and Him. Don’t ever find yourself in a dark place where you cannot see the light of success. Pull through even with the shackles around your feet because once you make it, you can break them and praise God for the strength He has given you. I’m truly blessed to have an amazing family and friends who support me 110%. Reality is harsh, but if you stop to think for one second, you can say, “I can do ALL things through Christ which strengthens me.” Thank you for all your love, support, and prayers.

Welcome New Partners:

Once you have made that awesome decision to partner with the dReam Center church. The next step is to learn more about the dReam Center church and how you can serve. We do this through Servant Leadership Classes (SLC).

Servant Leadership Classes are a series of 4 classes that will help you be your best at being a servant of God. The classes cover the topics:

• Servant Leaders – To Lead, You Must First Serve. • Discipleship and Prayer – Learn the tools to share the great news of Jesus Christ effectively. Also, learn the importance of having your own altar and prayer life. • Tithing and Seed Confession (One Dime at a Time) – Learn the Seed Confession and the principles of tithing • Consecration and Spiritual Gifts Assessment – Learn how to lead a consecrated life and discover your spiritual gifts

The sessions are about 45 minutes each and will be held on Super Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 1 pm to 3 pm.

These classes are open to all partners, especially those who have not attended any orientation classes since partnering with the dReam Center church.

Many of you want to know how to get connected. We find the best way to do this is to get involved in ministry work. If you are not sure, then the Greeters, Hospitality, Parking Lot and Security are great ministries to get started. We are taking God back into the schools! RockNation South Atlanta is a High School Choir being launched by Pastor Murph and the Contagious Worship and Arts Ministry. February 4th is the official launch date of the choir being housed at the South Atlanta High School. These students will have an opportunity to recieve vocal training and participate in Choir Competitions. We are taking time to spend with our youth; mentoring and encouraging them to pursue their dReams. We do ask for your prayers and support as we take ‘the Sound’ into our schools! — Tasha Cobbs

Elder Mauricio & Kris SonnyElder Mauricio and Kris Sonny have been married for 13 years. Both moved to Atlanta at a very young age, and grew up in the inner-city area. Their marriage in itself is a testament to their ministry as they were high school sweethearts, and they have been married since the ages eighteen and nineteen. They have three children, Damonte, Mauricio, and Krishtian. While in high school, Kris introduced Sonny to a youth ministry she was attending called Young Life. After his seeing their works, they both realized the call and mission that God had on their lives, which was to reach the future leaders and new generations through both ministry and music.

In 2005 the Sonnys took a leap of faith and left their home, friends and family, and jobs, in Atlanta to take a position with Younglife Memphis, working with inner-city kids on a full time basis. There they were assigned to Southside High School. The focus of their ministry was to meet kids where they were rather than wait for them to come to us.

In 2007 the school closed, and they felt lead to return back to their home base in Atlanta. It was then they came into “partnership” with the dReam Center. At last they had found the perfect church for not so perfect people.

The RockNation Movement is seeking all graduating seniors and partners that have children in college. Please see Elder Mauricio or Chris Sonny to give them your information.


Dear Friends,

It’s been 3 years since Pastor D and I stepped out on faith, to obey God and plant The dReam Center Church of Atlanta. Wow...it’s hard to believe it’s been that long, as it seems just like yesterday that my dad, Bishop William H. Murphy, Jr., came to the City Hall building in Lithonia to officially launch us into full-time pastoral ministry. WOW! I’m blown away as I reflect on the relationships that have been birthed, the lives that have been changed, and the souls that have been saved as a result of our obedience. Atlanta can never be the same again...

So for 3 years now, Pastor D and I have been mentoring and preparing a Ministerial dReam Team, that will help us to successfully complete our assignment in regard to The dReam Center Church of Atlanta. With the worldwide mantle that rests upon my family and I, it is absolutely necessary that I have men and women of influence and wisdom that I can trust to perpetuate God’s agenda, in The Center, as I obey God globally. After carefully observing their lives and judging the fruit of their ministries, we have finally identified such a group. To God be the Glory...

Many have come and gone, some have fallen by the wayside, and some didn’t have the patience, nor the grace, to pass the test of faithfulness, but yet the many Sons and Daughters remain! Hallelujah! I celebrate this modern day group of Aaron’s and Hur’s, who pledge to hold up my arms, to secure the victory of every person connected to The Center. I praise God for their selfless spirits, for their “YES”, and for their willingness to be faithful in another man’s ministry. This is the group, the initial group, that will help me to transform Spaghetti Junction, Atlanta, and the Earth for the Glory of God.

This is a landmark season for us a Church Body, as we complete the first renovation of and the transition into The NEW dReam Center in Doraville, and for the first time in the history of The Center, officially license and ordain a ministerial team. This is indicative of the increase of influence and exposure, and the responsibilities of ministry that this season will demand. I need help, and the help has arrived...these are my beloved Sons, hear ye them.

Sooo...I embrace the season of fresh produce with full eyes, and a clear heart. I anxiously await this year of the “NEW” Harvest, as I truly believe that this is to be the greatest year of our lives, thus far.

So dReamers, dReam ON! I command you to SEE! See with a prophetic eye, see with the eyes of God, as you take on the Mind of God. This is the year we cement increase in our generation and in our bloodlines. This is the year we establish wealth and liberty as an inheritance for those coming after us. This is the year we get our strength and vision back. This is the year we finish what we started. This is the year we take hold of what we’ve been praying for. This is...

...the year we SEE IT!

The 40 Day Fast & Consecration As we move into 2009, we believe God for miracles and breakthrough. Therefore the first order in moving forward and SEEing it is prayer and fasting. “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” As we go through this year we need to recognize the truth in order to see clearly and understand what is truly happening and why. True Revelation can only come through those who have a relationship with God through Christ Jesus. The truth will not only reveal new aspects about God, but He will also open up new insights, wisdom, and revelations about life, self and others around us and the way we perceive. In this season of fasting and praying He will reveal that our true need is to come to Him and embrace Him and all He has for us. As a result, we will be changed and be transformed into His likeness....The year we SEE it!

The One Year Bible daily reading plan consists of passages from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. This arrangement of Scripture brings variety and a fresh approach to each day’s 15-minute reading, while providing a clear understanding of the Bible’s larger message.

Now we have created a way to involve our global family in this walk through the Bible. We have begun to Blog.
