Wednesday, February 4, 2009: Lecture and Discussion: Brainstorming A Story: Prep for Creating a News Website and Video Techniques lecture for the following week’s video introduction at ISS.

Required reading: Chapter 2 in “Advancing the Story” and online exercises

No. 4 Assignment: ELearning on “Advancing the Story” website (see page 53): Use e-learning tools to create a synopsis of the individual story you would like to write for the group news website. I will post these assignments in class on Wednesday to work on together.

Post synopsis to blog. (Note: you will be writing a rough outline of your news story on Feb. 18 so you should begin research and interviews to be prepared for that assignment.)
