Annual MeetingSunday, February 25 at 12:30 pm

All Saints’ is in a time of transition. Steve Huber, our Rector for the last eight years, has retired and is almost finished moving all his belongings out of his office and out of the Rectory. The Vestry has called an Interim Rector, Bob Dannals, to lead the parish as we go through the process of determining who we are, who we want to become, and, ultimately to call a new Rector. He will probably be with us for approximately 12–15 months. Bob, his wife Valerie and their golden retriever Nilla will move into a fixed-up Rectory on March 1. His first sermon will be Sunday, March 4. I hope you will all be there to welcome him and to share in his message.

The process of calling a new Rector is time-consuming and challenging and will involve as many parishioners as want to be involved. The first step is for the Vestry to call an Interim Rector—and we have done that. As a second step, the Vestry appointed a Profile Leadership Committee, which will head up the process of creating a profile of All Saints’. The committee is looking for volunteers to help with a Parish Survey (designing,

administering, participating, evaluating), with a Story Day (facilitated by an outside professional) and in putting it all together. Although the finished product is important and is what is circulated to Rector candidates, it is the process that counts and enables the parish to answer critical questions about themselves. The finished document also goes to the Diocese.

Next, the Vestry will appoint the Search Committee, composed of 12 parishioners representing a cross section of the parish. They will vet all the candidates and select three final nominees for the Vestry to consider. The Vestry will make the final choice.

As we go through this process, keep your prayers coming. We need all the help we can get! If you would like to talk to me about the process, I can be reached at [email protected].

Welcome to All Saints’!
