Our Goal is $ 26,975 The word Catholic, at its base, means that there is nothing in the human experience which is not of
interest to the Church. What is of interest to one must be the interest of all, if we are to develop as a strong, active and vibrant Catholic community. This takes active and intentional communication within the Church, allowing us to engage in a conversation that bridges generations and creates an atmosphere of trust. We invite all members of our community to be active in their faith regard-less of where they presently are in their faith journey. We are enriched and can become a more dynamic and healthy diocese when each of us simply lives our faith in a way that is open to the needs of all. - Most Reverend Blase J. Cupich
Lenten Regulations
All Christians, by the nature of their Christian lives, are obliged to
live a spirit of penance. The Law of the church specifies certain
minimal practices of penance:
Fast—On Ash Wednesday and Good Friday by all between the ages
of 18 and 59 inclusive
Abstinence from Meat—On Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent
by all who are 14 years of age or older.
Stations of the Cross
Wednesday during Lent at 6:00 pm
Followed by Soup and Bread Supper
