Monday Morning Moms & Dads will begin a new study of the book, Five Love Languages, tomorrow, Feb. 25, in Room 111. We meet weekly on Mondays from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Childcare is offered at no charge with pre-registration. The Explorer’s Class concludes its series on Religion and Health this morning with a discussion of the role of faith communities in partnering with the healthcare system. Next Sunday, Rand Hamilton will begin a series on “The Future of Christianity: 50 years from now.” A video segment of John Shelby Spong on God in the 21st Century will be featured followed by discussion.
Contemporary Issues - The Adult Contemporary Issues class continues its series on the topic of “Happiness”. The series will involve videos and discussion based on the views of multiple philosophers and our Christian heritage to understand the state of “happiness”. Sandi Chamness is leading the discussion. Class meets at 10:30 in the Adult Room.
Singles at Dayspring - Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. Feb. 24 - Abuelo’s - 3440 W. Chandler Blvd., on the north side, in front of the Great Indoors.
You won’t want to miss 50 Plus on Friday, March 15th, at 12:00 noon in the Shalimar Country Club Restaurant, 2032 E. Golf Ave., Tempe, 85282. This is our final meeting for this current season. Our own “Skip” Hughes, retire U.S. Navy Chaplain, will present a program: “Sea Stories from an Old Salt.” Make your $12 per person lunch reservations with Erma Dean (480) 839-4657, or with a 50+ caller. Donate Books - United Methodist Women will have a Used Book Sale on Saturday, March 9. We are collecting novels, mysteries, biographies, children’s books, non-fiction. No magazines or textbooks, please. Place your books in the box in the narthex or in the church office on weekdays.
Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Come be a part of this fun group.
“Connections” is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their
families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide the names of “Connections” members for you to contact.
Koinonikos - The March issue of the Dayspring newsletter is now available for pick-up in the narthex for those who have chosen that option.
Koinonikos Schedule - The next deadline date for the newsletter is March 15 and will include events in the month of April.

Life Line ScreeningsOn Thursday, March 14, 2013, Dayspring will be partnering with Life Line Screening to provide preventative health screenings.
