Red Cross Babysitter Training will be offered Saturday, Oct.27th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Freeborn-Mower Chapter of the Red Cross, Albert Lea office. A generous grant from the United Way of Freeborn County enables residents of Freeborn County to receive this free training by simply making a monetary contribution of any amount to the American Red Cross.Class size is limited, and another session is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 10th. The class normally costs $85. Freeborn County Area Girls Discover What it is Like to be Girl Scouts What: A busy back-to-school season may mean that parents missed the initial opportunity to sign up their girls for Girl Scouts. To make it easier for K–12 girls to get involved, Girl Scouts from Freeborn County and the surrounding area are hosting a discovery day where families can learn more about the different pathways available in Girl Scouts.
Who: Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys
Why: On Wednesday, October 17, all girls and families not currently involved in Girl Scouting are invited to explore the pathways in which girls can participate in Girl Scouts. Girls can find the right fit for their lives and schedules through a variety of options, including troops, camp, events and travel.Girl Scouts is for all K–12 girls. Girl and adult membership registration is $12.00. All girls are welcome regardless of their ability to pay and financial assistance is available.

A generous grant from the United Way of Freeborn County enables residents of Freeborn County to receive this free training by simply making a monetary contribution of any amount to the American Red Cross.Class size is limited, and another session is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 10th. Freeborn County Area Girls Discover What it is Like to be Girl Scouts What: A busy back-to-school season may mean that parents missed the initial opportunity to sign up their girls for Girl Scouts. To make it easier for K–12 girls to get involved, Girl Scouts from Freeborn County and the surrounding area are hosting a discovery day where families can learn more about the different pathways available in Girl Scouts.
Who: Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys
Why: On Wednesday, October 17, all girls and families not currently involved in Girl Scouting are invited to explore the pathways in which girls can participate in Girl Scouts. Girls can find the right fit for their lives and schedules through a variety of options, including troops, camp, events and travel.Girl Scouts is for all K–12 girls.
