New FCE- Focusing on Skills seriesReading: Part 4 Sentence Transformation:
Modal Verbs
It’s an extensive exercise consisting of 63 sentences where you can practise Key Word Transformation with
Modal Verbs only.
What's this task all about?
Well, you are given a complete sentence followed by a second, incomplete sentence. You must complete the second sentence so that it has the same meaning as the first using a word given that must not be changed.
You should write between three to five words (contractions, e.g. 'I'm', count as two words). Don't leave the answer sheet blank for any question. If you don't know the correct answer you should always make a guess.
It's possible to get 50% in this section without getting any of the questions 100% correct. So it's worth answering every question because even incomplete answers can get points.
Remember that the word given must be included in the answer, and cannot be changed in any way.
Good Luck with the practice.
