COLOR event! On Saturday, September

8, 2018 participants will have a blast; a

COLOR BLAST! Our race and fun run

will shower participants with color along

the scenic course, then present cotton-

themed 5k trophies at the Fayette

County Chamber Cotton Festival

featuring live music, inflatables, games,

food, a car show and more. Runners and

walkers will enjoy a memorable day of colorful fun, all for a great cause.

FAYETTE CARES – HELPING THOSE IN NEED

ENDING HOMELESSNESS

At Fayette Cares, the homeless are empowered to achieve

stable and independent living. Program participants find a

nurturing environment to overcome barriers to stability

and self-sufficiency including issues related to domestic

violence, poverty, drug abuse, and mental illness. The

program serves male or female single parent households,

married couples with children, and individuals without

children. Unlike many shelters, children over 10 are

welcomed regardless of gender.

Families actively participate in educational programs building the skills and resources needed

to increase income, effectively manage finances, establish stable homes, and build strong

families with bright futures.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION

For many, home is a prison of untold violence, oppression,

and pain. Fayette Cares offers options and resources to

help victims become survivors and break the cycle of

violence. Services include emergency shelter and

transportation, safety planning, emergency cellular

phones, security systems, court accompaniment, and links

to essential resources. Support groups are also offered,

helping to find healing among other survivors.

CRISIS INTERVENTION

In every life a little rain must fall, but for some it is a

deluge. The flood may be in the form of a job loss, a house

fire, unexpected custody of a grandchild, or other

emergency.

Fayette Cares helps stabilize families in financial crisis

with emergency shelter, food, clothing, hygiene products,

housewares, school supplies, and other essentials. Fayette Cares may also provide temporary

assistance with rent, mortgage, or utility payments to rehouse families who have become

homeless.

Families receive aid to offer lasting stability with resources and life skills classes that build

opportunities for self-sufficiency.

Can we customize a sponsorship to suit our needs? Absolutely! Does the Race have an Expo Area? Yes. Several sponsorship packages include the option to display a table/signage/promotional materials. What are the race specifics? A course map for the 5K Run/Walk and 1k Fun Run can be found at FayetteCares.org/5k. Are the organizers open to the possibility of revising the route to include the retail partner, if possible? Yes…with qualifications. We need the race to end within a short walking distance to the Somerville Court Square in order to hold the awards ceremony at the Fayette County Chamber Cotton Festival. How long has the race been in existence? We celebrate our 11th annual event on September 8, 2018. Are there any co-promotion opportunities with this event? We’re open to co-promotion and have a very effective marketing campaign. Do you conduct on-site surveying and is there an opportunity to include questions regarding a sponsor? Absolutely!
