Fate, Destiny or just Luck? Fate, Destiny or just Luck? Are our lives ruled by Fate and Destiny, or is it all just Luck and Coincident? What do you think? This question has been asked many, many times by the people I teach Tarot to. So do you believe in Fate and Destiny? Why don't YOU ask, or answer, and even tell of experiences you have had that may have been instigated by Fate, Destiny or just Luck and Coincident. This subject is open to many views and some might say that, 'everything happens for a reason'. So if this is true, (questionable) then surely Fate and Destiny does prevail to run our lives and predict our outcome. Well, I am not sure about this and philosophers for 1000's of years have tried to predict the future and we tend to believe some of them. i.e. Nostrodamus, being one of the more famous ones. We have all been given 'Freewill' to do as we please on this Earth by God! So the good-book says, and most religious faiths agree. So, given these facts above, I again ask the question about Fate and Destiny? So many different thoughts and ideas make a truly diverse world to live in, and everyone wants to be heard. Maybe we should all go our own ways and for most of us, choose the paths we wish to take. If this is the case, why should we even consider Fate & Destiny but instead, just plod along our own individual paths to a point that can never been seen and certainly not foretasted, making choices that are sometimes just purely random or chance, you know that gut feeling we get sometimes, or should I call that, instinct. Surely this process is reliant on Fate or Destiny as most of our random choices are just pure guesswork. Or maybe I'm just looking at the smaller picture through a microscope and only seeing the one inevitable outcome, which surely must be death. Yes, I do believe in freewill on the Page 1

Fate, Destiny or just Luck?Fate, Destiny or just Luck?

Are our lives ruled by Fate and Destiny, or is it all just Luck and Coincident?

What do you think? This question has been asked many, many times by the people I teach Tarot to. So do you believe in Fate and Destiny? Why don't YOU ask, or answer, and even tell of experiences you have had that may have been instigated by Fate, Destiny or just Luck and Coincident. This subject is open to many views and some might say that, 'everything happens for a reason'. So if this is true, (questionable) then surely Fate and

Destiny does prevail to run our lives and predict our outcome.Well, I am not sure about this and philosophers for 1000's of years have tried to predict the future and we tend to believe some of them.

Yes, I do believe in freewill on the basis that I can choose what I want to do everyday of my life. But still I hear people saying and sometimes quoting, "there's a reason for everything"! If this is true then our existence is for what reason? To live a life and then die, or is there something greater than life or should I call this, 'human existence'.

"There is a purpose to life", is yet another quoted thought or idea, which is passed on from mouth to mouth and generation to generation. If we are given anything to do such as a job or task, we understand, as an intelligent species, that there is a purpose why we should carry out the task. Yes we can question why we have to undertake the task or job at hand, but purely on the basis of our own freewill and choices that we wish to make. Everything can and is, questionable. And so by using our freewill and making our own choices we, in turn, make decisions, I presume these are all based on one of logic and certainly some kind of a reasonable outcome, should we perform the said task or job at hand.

I too, do not believe that there is a great master puppeteer in the heavens pulling all the strings and leading us, the human race, that is, to some kind of inevitable fate

which can only be seen as our final destiny. No, this would be illogical as Mr Spock would say. Why would the great creator destroy everything that he has created just because his new plaything isn't quite doing what he created it to do. As intelligent, humans we surely have the right to question everything in life and we do. That is why we have evolved so quickly over the past 150 years, people and cultures are changing right under our very noses and we constantly fail to see the speed that change can bring. We humans want everything, yesterday and if we can't get it in one place, then we will find somewhere else, that we can. Our lives have become more reliant on material things, keeping up with people next door and basically thinking only of our selfish wants and needs, to keep us satisfied till the day we grow old, fat and then die.

It just seems all pretty pointless to me and so this is my voice that just wants to be heard just like the rest of you, the intentions are honourable, and the reasons are many. If only one voice can be heard and that voice can give hope to others, for whatever reason, then surely it can be no bad thing.

As I have stated in my past messages, I do teach Tarot and many other subjects too, I also feel for the people who, in their innocence have come across those charlatans who profess to predict future events on the basis of gaining popularity and fortune, can only be described as, foolish. Any professional, in whatever capacity should be the best and probably the most qualified to give any kind of service to another.

I do hope you can all understand why I asked the question in the first place, please read the first paragraph. As a professional I have to quantify the services that I offer and so when asked by my students and customers about Fate and Destiny, I hope I can give a quantifiable answer.
