Fast-Track to a New IT Career

Collin College is now offering free training for qualified veterans. This custom program is FREE, fast-paced and focused on immediate job placement upon completion of the program. Veterans do not need to be employed before or during training to participate.

This program is open to all eligible U.S. veterans, covers tuition and books, and is not related to VA benefits. To register for the program, veterans must provide a copy of their DD-214 to demonstrate an honorable discharge from the military.

Information Technology Training Program In the Information Technology Training Program, students learn a variety of marketable IT skills during the program including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+, and Cisco CCNA. Comprehensive coverage of CompTIA's A+ core hardware and OS technologies objectives prepare students for both A+ exams. Preparation for CompTIA's Network+ exam includes validating technical competency in networking administration and support. Preparation for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification in Routing & Switching exam includes hands-on labs where students design and install secure Cisco network systems based on customer requirements, monitor and maintain network traffic and security, and maintain network hardware and software.
