Anna is a top ranking real estate broker and co-owner of The Boutique Real Estate special-izing in downtown and central Austin . She is also an Austin Under 40 nominee. An Austinite since 1984 and proud UT graduate, Anna enjoys traveling, cooking Persian food, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is also a professional model and travels to NYC for Fashion Week several times a year to model for Giorgio Armani and Zac Posen. Having lived all over the world, (including Iran, Italy, and Switzerland), Shae loves to call Austin “home.” She is a mother to daughter Anna Anami and son Michael Anami. She is an entrepreneur and has been involved with the Assistance League of Austin for several years. She loves traveling and spending time with family and friends as well as practicing international dance. Per her daughter Anna she is also the world’s best cook! Shae lives downtown and loves to host dinner parties, as well as enjoy kayaking on Lady Bird Lake.

Rosa Maria’s experience behind the camera developed her keen sense of aesthetic propor-tion, and led her to venture into the world of floral and event design. For over twenty years, her work has been sought after to create spectacular events in the United States and Mexico. She mentored her daughters Sofia and Victoria Avila, as they founded their own floral design company, Mandarin Flower Co. Rosa Maria is now a member of Mandarin’s executive design team. She volunteers for St. Louise House.

Victoria is pursuing a degree in Chinese Language and Culture with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Victoria volunteers for Mobile Loaves and Fishes as well as St. Louise House. She is a former leader for Challenge, a Catholic orga-nization that provides mentorship and leadership training to high school girls. Victoria loves to dance, and is a teaching assistant for UT’s ultra-popular ballroom dance class. She is a huge soccer fan and former soccer coach to the U-9 Westlake Soccer Girl’s Team. In an effort to never sleep, she is learning her sixth language.

Sofia earned degrees in Plan II Honors and Chinese Language and Culture at the Univer-sity of Texas at Austin. She is the co-founder of Mandarin Flower Co. Along with her sister Victoria, their floral design work has been on display internationally, in countries such as the United States, Mexico and China; including official receptions at the Embassy of Mexico in Beijing during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Sofia is committed to serving causes that sup-port the arts, the youth, and the Hispanic community. She serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Board of Mexic-Arte Museum; and is also a member of the Young Women’s Alliance. Sofia was a finalist for the 2011 Austin Under 40 Awards.

Liz Baskin

Major themes of Liz’s life include community service, politics, art/design/archeticture,travel, the language and culture of Mexico and Latin America, and other creative endeavors. She recently studied intensive Spanish language through an immersion program in San Miguel de Allende. Liz has worked in real estate and owned and operated a women’s boutique, raised several kids and dogs, and in general developed a life long love of learning and service. Liz is currently working full time in New Mexico as a Regional Field Director for the Obama Campaign. She enjoys good food, wine, yoga, pilates, tennis, and, of course, still feels the Bossa Nova rhythm from time to time.

Chase is involved with the Real Estate Council of Austin, Christmas in October, ICSC, and the Texas Exes Association. Chase celebrates four wonderful parents: Charlie Northington & Elizabeth Baskin/ Step Parents Jamie Baskin & Dina Northington. He also keeps up with three siblings - Alexandra Northington, Carter Northington & Liza Baskin. A University of Texas graduate, he works as a Senior Associate with Edge Realty Partners and is a partner of Vivid Sound Entertainment. His favorite quote is: “Courage is the ability to suspend the imagination”.

Alexandra, daughter of Elizabeth Baskin, graduated from UCLA with a degree in Spanish. She spent her junior year abroad in Madrid, Spain. She returned to Los Angeles, working in PR and event production for the next two years. Then the excitement of the ‘Big Apple’ called to her, compelling her to relocate to New York City, where she currently resides. Alexandra has a love for travel, fashion, exploring and staying active.

Stacy graduated from Texas Christian University and continued her education at Texas State University where she earned a Masters in education. Stacy is inspired daily by being a mother to her three children (Gracyn-9, Hudson-7 & Hays -3) and contributing to a legacy her grandparents, Pat and Tex Robertson, created over 70 years ago. Camp Longhorn is what she calls home, her career and her passion.

Gracyn is an active 3rd grader who works hard to maintain her straight “A” average. She loves sports and is involved in Longhorn Aquatics and several basketball leagues around her community. She is extremely proud to be a part of the 4th generation of her family’s business and looks forward to volunteering her time every summer in the Camp Longhorn merit store and petting zoo. Gracyn also attends 2nd term as a camper and enjoys hanging out with her camp friends from all over the US. Gracyn is inspired by helping other people. She has been known to go door-to-door singing Christmas Carols or operate a lemonade stand to raise money for her friends in need. She also looks forward to Austin’s Community Christmas Festival where she helps in giving away over 75 bikes.

Vaughn has developed commercial real estate in Austin for the past 25 years. An adjunct professor at the University of Texas, St. Edwards University and the Acton School of Entrepre-neurship, where he taught Entrepreneurial Process to MBA students. A native Texan, Barbara joined the Ann Richards administration as Special Assistant to the Chief of Staff in 1991, then becoming her Executive Assistant for the remainder of Ann Richard’s life. Barbara’s daughter Casey, is a founding partner at the DEN Property Group. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the People’s Community Clinic and Open Arms. She is married to event coordinator and fitness trainer, Will Ross.

Krista will be featured as a multi-generational family with mother, Kay Flowers, and her daughter, Catherine Moy. They are a part of the R.C. and Fred Wong family, who has been prominent in the art scene and civic volunteerism for generations. Daughter Catherine is an accomplished student at Westridge Middle School.

Krista is the Vice President of the Westlake Fire Department and founding member and President of the Westlake Fire Department Community Foundation. Krista is an active mem-ber of the Women’s Symphony League and enjoys doing other volunteer activities.

Maria and Eric’s four kids motivate them to want both to make the world a better place and to get out of the house. Eric has a paying day job at Vinson & Elkins to provide an outlet for both impulses; Maria instead lends her smile and innate persuasive abilities to a raft of com-munity organizations. Maria has lead principal fundraisers for ZACH Theater, Ballet Austin, the Center for Child Protection, the Long Center for the Performing Arts, and assisted with many more. In between meetings and beatings, she swims, bikes and runs, last November in Cozumel adding “Ironman” to her resume.

Tavo a native of Austin, competed in the British Formula Three Championship in 1995 and 1996, and won races in the NASCAR Winston West Series and SCCA sanctioned events, including the Winston West race at Laguna Seca in 2001. Both Tavo and his father, Gustavo Hellmund-Rosas, have a long history as racing promoters. Tavo has been involved with music events, FIFA World Cup, NASCAR, Formula One and was responsible for the return of the USAC National Midget Series to Texas after a nearly forty year absence. He promoted the Texas Racefest, a NASCAR/USAC regional Short-track event from 2005-2009. A life long vision of bringing world class racing to Austin, Tavo is the Founding Partner of Circuit of the Americas and the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.

Aryn is the wonderful mother of Lyla (19 months) and wife and best friend of Tavo. She also has two amazing four legged friends that ensure a full and wonderful home. Stephen has been married to the love of his life Johnna for 20 years, with 4 children under one roof! Stephen Jones is Chairman of Jones Villalta Asset Management, recently ranked the number one performing large company investment fund in the United States by the Wall Street Journal for the past 3 years.

He is also an involved community volunteer, serving on the boards of The Nature Con-servancy, the LBJ School of Public Policy Advisory Board, and University of Texas System Chancellor’s Technology Commercialization Advisory Cabinet. He is a co-founder of the Waller Creek Conservancy, which is working to transform Waller Creek along with the downtown urban core into a vibrant and healthy eco-system replete with great design, beauty, recreational and open space.

Lynn’s focus has been to invest in community organizations that will change lives, an impor-tant reason why she supports the Austin Children’s Shelter. Because of her love for children, Lynn is now the honorary chairman of the Austin Children’s Museum’s capital campaign, building a new museum for families at Mueller. Lynn is proud of being a co-founder of the first Austin chapter of National Charity League, a mother-daughter philanthropic organization. Along with her husband Tommie, Lynn has been honored by the ADL with the Torch of Liberty Award and was named Austin’s Philanthropist of the Year. Linda Mays McCaul has five children (Caroline, 15; Jewell, 14; and triplets Lauren, Avery, and Michael, 10). She is married to Congressman Michael McCaul, who is serving his 4th term in the U.S. Congress representing the 10th District of Texas. Linda is on the Board of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, where she chairs the Advisory Committee for the Children’s Cancer Hospital. Linda and Michael will be honored by M.D. Anderson in May for all the work they have both done for pediatric cancer issues at the local and national level. Linda also serves on the Board of the Austin Greater Crime Commission and the Trust for the National Mall. Linda and her older 2 daughters are members of the National Charily League. She is also a member of the Congressional Club.

Jewell McCaul is an 8th grader at Hill Country Middle School. Jewell plays volleyball and has a natural artistic talent. She is a member of the National Charity League and will receive the Yellow Rose Award for 99 hours of community service. She will also receive the Silver Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Jewell and her mother Linda also received the mother-daughter Award in 2010, 2011, and 2012 from the National Charity League. ‘MP’ is the founder and President of Door Number 3 advertising agency. She is also a blogger for the New York Times (business section), writing ‘Branded’ for the last two years. Philanthropically minded, she serves on the boards of ‘I Live Here, I Give Here’ and Foster Angels of Central Texas.

MP is the wonderful mother of Helen Nourzad, (age 17), a senior at St. Michael’s Catholic Academy as well as Lawrence Nourzad, (age 20), a sophomore at Auburn University. As a NCAA Division III Football Champion, Ryan pursued his athleticism as the founder and owner of CoreFit Training. Combining his ETBU Major in Business and Humanities and Minor in Business Administration with his love of fitness, he is the creator/inventor of the BandGym workout apparatus, and has a CoreFit DVD coming soon. When he is not at work, he is enjoying water sports, football, working out, live music, and going to the movies. Jeff is an emergency medicine doctor. Although he graduated from TCU, he started out at UT and is a loyal Longhorn. He and his wife moved back to Austin nine years ago, after rea-lizing their 800 square foot loft in downtown Chicago wasn’t going to be the most ideal place to raise a family. Jeff’s son, Caden, is in Pre-K at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School, along with his older sister Addison. Caden’s favorite things to do are playing soccer and stealing his Dad’s iPad. Currently he wants to grow up to be a cowboy who lives in the desert, because according to Caden, “That’s what cowboys do”.

Marina is a registered pharmacist and real estate broker. She is a long time supporter of People’s Community Clinic (and Co-Chair of the 2012 “There’s No such Thing as a Free Lunch” luncheon), the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, the University of Texas College of Pharmacy, and the Human Rights Campaign. Raised in New York, Venus has lived in Austin for 25 years. As a retired nurse, she uses her caring skills as a community volunteer. Venus also serves as a Board member of the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship Foundation, an appointed Board member of Humanities Texas, and has served as Co-Founder and former Co-Chair of the ‘Dancing with the Stars Aus-tin’ event. She also serves on the steering committees for The Rise School, Power of the Purse, Notable Women of the Long Center, and The Women’s Trust for Dell Children’s Hospital. Venus was a 2009 ‘Women On Their Toes’ Honoree. Venus & Bill have 3 children and 2 won-derful grandchildren, who are the “Twinkles” of their hearts. Bill is the retired Founder/President of Strawn Arnold Ashpitz Groover, Inc., a national executive search firm specializing in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Bill is presently serving the State of Texas as Chairman of the Judicial Compensa-tion Commission. He enjoys golf, salsa dancing and is “Papa” to Ashley & Eric.

Rusty is involved with and supports the Center for Child Protection, ZACH Scott Theatre, American Lung Association, and Texas Performing Arts Directors Council. Rusty believes in and supports the Austin Children’s Shelter’s mission to help our region’s abused children. He was named as the Top 100 Financial Advisers in the US (Registered Rep Magazine). Rusty has also won the Texas Monthly Five Star Service Award. He enjoys snow skiing, golf, fly fishing and white water rafting. Rusty and Mary love ‘hanging out’ with their three children. Since the kids are in California, and their vacation home is in Colorado, Rusty is also working on getting his pilot’s license!

Mary serves on the ZACH Scott Theatre Board, Center for Child Protection Board, Emanci-pet 2012 “Free Love” Luncheon Chair, and Dancing with the Austin Stars 2012 gala co-chair. Most recently, she was named a 2011 ‘Women on their Toes’ recipient, an award given to exemplary community volunteers. Rusty and Mary were selected for the 2011 ‘Out and About 500’ as “All Stars” by the Austin American-Statesman. She passionately believes in and supports the Austin Children’s Shelter mission, having modeled last year, and loves the idea of returning this year to “model with my husband!”

Originally from Warsaw, Poland, Ania moved here almost 2 years ago with her husband Jef-frey, an Austinite and UT graduate. She has a Masters in Economics, but now spends her time in Austin volunteering, staying fit by power walking at Lady Bird Lake.

Ola grew up in Warsaw, Poland, but moved to the states after high school to attend Boston College. She transferred to UT to study Radio/Television/Film and will graduate with honors in May. In the past, she has interned at Austin Film Society, for Richard Linklater, Terrence Ma-lick, RunTex, and ESPN Radio 104.9 The Horn. She is fluent in Polish, English, and French and stays fit by running and riding her bike as much as possible.

Rae grew up in Warsaw, Poland. Now a junior at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. She has started learning Russian and Spanish (in addition to Polish, English, and French) and is preparing for the college admission process. She has interned at the Mexic-Arte Museum and plans to intern this summer at the Austin Public Library.

Kim is an attorney with her own private practice. She graduated from Louisiana State University at the Paul M Hebert Law Center. Her law practice has an emphasis on family law, collaborative divorce, probate, and mediation. She provides assistance with estate planning such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, guardianships, contracts, debt collection, foreclosure, and personal injury. Kim is a member of the Mexic-Arte Board of Directors. A New Orleans Saint’s fan, she also enjoys shopping, reading & stand up paddling on Lady Bird Lake.

As a Cal State Long Beach graduate and California native, Bill now is now noted for his striking Texas landscape and pet photography at billaustinphotography.com. As an entrepre-neur, he also founded edgy sports oriented ‘Hesitation Kills’ clothing company. Bill served as a long time “Big Brother” mentor for children while in California. He now volunteers photography and services for Lifeworks, Center for Child Protection, Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, and the Bastrop Fire Relief Fund. He was also the 2010 & 2011 Coordinator of all Volunteers for Statesman Cap10k Race. An accomplished athlete and outdoorsman, one may find Bill battling it out on the ice hockey rink, running or fishing at Austin area lakes, or ‘cruising’ on his wake, surf, or snow boards.

Alex is Executive Director of Citizen Generation, Austin’s nonprofit devoted to promoting philanthropy and creating the habit of giving. She was named one of 5 Women of Distinction 2012 for the Girl Scouts of Central Texas. Alex also lends her support to Austin Pets Alive, the Jewish Federation of Greater Austin, and ADL to name a few.

Suzanne and her husband Marc are engaged citizens of the Austin community and beyond. Suzanne sits on the boards of KLRU, Legacy of Giving, and Texas Hillel. Mother to Eli, Alex, and Jake, Suzanne’s passions involve caring for animals, gardening, practicing yoga, and vegan baking. Most recently, Suzanne and her family received the Maislin Humanitarian Award from the Anti-Defamation League Austin.

A native Austinite, Jennifer is a Regulatory Case Manager for the Lower Colorado River Authority, where she has been working for a little more than 10 years. She volunteers through the Junior League of Austin, and serves on the Board of Friends of the Austin State Supported Living Center.
