I am a farmer from a small village where I own a small agricultural land of 5 acres. Although, my productivity is moderate but my cost of cultivation per hectare is high leading to

low farm incomes. I have limited access to credit markets and so I cannot take advantage of the modern

agricultural technologies. The repeated use of land without proper agricultural techniques, lack of capital investment and

outdated technology are making my land less productive. I am finding it difficult to compete with my large scale counterparts.

I am all hope for the government schemes that exist for our benefit but their slow delivery mechanisms are not able to address my problems.

If this continues I will have to migrate to cities in search of better jobs to earn my living. I really have no idea how to get over this….
