Trees being cut down…

Tomorrow…. Wednesday 3rd December and Thur sday 4 th December several trees will be removed from the school grounds. These trees have been assessed by an arborist and deemed to be unsafe for the playground. The school will get to keep all the mulch from the trees to use around the playground. The trees to be removed have been fenced off for safety reasons. I am sure the students would have told you about the large branch which fell in the playground recently smashing one of the new soccer goals.

Next Tuesday 9th December the scripture teachers will be running the Christmas Special. This is a combined event and all students are welcome to join in. Those students who don’t normally attend scripture sessions wil l have act ivi t ies organized for them in their home groups.

Berkeley Communi ty Carols…

Both our senior and junior schools have been asked to sing at this community event this year. We have been learning Carols in preparation for this event and are asking that as many parents and families attend as possible. Our scheduled times are 4:30pm on Saturday 13th December. It should be a lovely afternoon down by the lake with stalls, rides and carols. Many of the school staff are attending and we are hoping you can spare some time to come and sing carols with us as a school.

Silver afternoon Tea…

I will be holding another Silver afternoon tea on Friday during the second lunch session. I will be handing the inv i tes ou t on Thursday. There are still a couple of students who have not been able to attend for one reason or another but you are welcome to attend this week.
