Faraday’s Law of Induction

Faraday’s Law states that the electromotive force is directly proportional to the time rate of change of the magnetic flux through a loop:

Є = - dФB/dt where ФB = ∫ B. dA

Magnetic Flux

Magnetic Flux is a measure of quantity of magnetism, taking into account the strength and extent of a magnetic field:

ФB = ∫ B. da ФB = BAcosθ

Electric Motor

An electric motor is a motor that uses electrical energy to produce mechanical energy, usually through the interaction of magnetic fields and current-carrying conductors.

Electric Motor as Electric Generator

A DC motor can be used as a DC generator. Using mechanical energy to rotate the coil inside the motor at uniform angular velocity in a magnetic field, it will produce an electromotive force which is measured in Volts

Due to this resulting voltage, the light bulb emits light and the fan rotates
