Models with the Holy Rage special rule move6"+D6" in their Movement phase as described intheCodex. In addition to this, they may choose torun, but as per the last sentence of the Holy Ragerule, will not be able to charge if they do so.

Seraphim and Saint Celestine have their ownversion of the Hit and Run special rule. The hitand run move is not slowed by difficult terrain, but is affected by dangerous terrain. It may not beused to move into contact with the enemy. Ifthere are units with this rule on both sides, roll-off to determine who goes first and then alternatedisengaging them. If the last of these ends up nolonger in combat, it consolidates instead.

Q.How does the Orbital Strike work with thenew blast rules?

    A. Ignore the (In)accuracy special rule given inthe Codex and treat the attack as an OrdnanceBarrage with the firer not having line of sight tothe target. The blast marker is therefore placed

anywhere in the terrain feature nominated anddeviates 2D6" from that point.

Also note that the Codex uses the older termOrdnance Blast to denote the use of the large(5" diameter) blast marker.

Q.Do you need to inform your opponent of theOrbital Strikes target before deployment?

    A. No.

    Q. When calculating kill points for SaintCelestine are the same guidelines that are given

for victory points used (i.e. if shes on the tableat the end of the game she doesnt award anykill points no matter how many times she losther last wound)?

    A.Yes.

Q.How does the Liber Heresius work with thenew deployment rules?

    A. The Liber Heresius doesnt work within any of

the three deployment types given in the standard

missions in the new rulebook, because it onlyworks when you are able to dice off for choice ofdeployment zone in the new missions you dontactually dice off for this, as it is decided by who

wins the dice off to have the first turn. However, there are plenty of other missions where it willstill work, such as many of those in Cities of

Death, in White Dwarf or those written bytournament organisers for use in their events.

Q.How do Excruciators work with kill points?

    A. Excrutiators only work in relation to victorypoints, not kill points. Remember that victorypoints may still be in play in some missionsfound in Cities of Death, White Dwarf ortournament games. Also, you may be using themto determine a tie break as described on page 300of the Warhammer 40,000 rule book, in whichcase they provide a nice little insurance policy

for a 5 point wargear item.

Q.How does Righteous Fury work with rapid fireweapons?

    A. The rules for Priests state that the unit always

ground status after finishing its move?A. No.

    Allies

Q.If an army has Daemonhunters or WitchHunters allies, can it take any other type ofallies?

    A. No, unless these are also Inquisitorial units, orunless they are members of a separate

Detachment. This is stated in Codex: WitchHunters, and has been added to the Allies box onpage 21 of Codex: Daemonhunters for its secondprint run.

    Q. Can Priests be taken as allies in other armies?

    A. Yes the Priest referred to is the Priest in theWitch Hunters Codex.

    Officio Assassinorum Operatives

Q.How does the Vindicares turbo-penetratorround work in regards to rending?

    A. Because sniper rifles are rending, when rollingfor armour penetration, the Vindicare gets to add

a D3 to the total for each dice that comes up asix. So, if one of the three dice is a six, the totalpenetration would be 6+2D6+D3+3 (giving aresult between 12 and 22); if two were sixes, thetotal would be 12+1D6+2D3+3 (18 to 26); if allthree dice were sixes, the total would be18+3D3+3 (24 to 30!). Almost certainlyenough

    Q. With the new vehicle damage table, how doesthe neural shredder work against vehicles?

    A. As there isnt a Glancing Hits table anymore,

simply roll on the vehicle damage table, at -4.

Q.How does the Eversor Assassins "fast shot"rule work in 5th edition?

    A. It doesnt, as the rule is referring to the waypistols worked in previous editions.
