Blogs are an effective way of providing fans with information about films and it’s low on cost as opposed to above-the-line advertising such as trailers or other TV advertisements.

It gives fans a chance to comment about the films and discuss with others.

They can use persuasive language or the use of offers on products. For example, screensavers of fans favourite actors/actresses to persuade them to keep visiting the site.

Forums have Chat option which allows the members to communicate, like other communication methods such as MSN and the chat option on social networking site such as Face book.

Within the posts, questions are asked and the blogs writer asks for peoples comments which presents the idea that in this community everybody can share their views.

-All the blogs related to the franchise are rather similar – with the main aspect on the films’ progress and news about the cast .

The use of various media platforms allows fans to interact and continually distribute fan based media which makes promotion successful.

Facebook and other networking sites gives films maximum exposure to audiences as their target audience as they will get constant information, are able to write on the walls, comments on images and informs fans on the latest News.

As with twitter, fans are able to follow celebrities and allows the cast to update what their doing on set giving fans a sense of involvement whereby they spread the news by posting on blogs or via word-of-mouth.
