Overview:Developa2+2TransferModelthroughtheIGNITEProgram.EstablishpartnershipswithFloridaStateCollegesStreamlinestudentsprogressingtowardsachievingassociatedegreesand,GuaranteeingenrollmentinFAMUforthefinaltwoyears.EstablishedpartnershipswithFAMUIGNITEPrograminclude:BrowardCollege;Miami-DadeCollege;PalmBeachStateCollege;SantaFeCollege;St.PetersburgCollege;TallahasseeCommunityCollege;ValenciaCollege;FloridaGateway;andFloridaStateCollegeatJacksonville.Fouragreementsarepending:PolkStateCollege,FloridaSouthwestCollege,IndianRiverStateCollege,Pasco-HernandoStateCollege

Goals&Benefits:FAMU’sstrategicplanistoincreaseFCSAAtransferstudentnumbersto1,100by2020.“Targeted”Recruitment,AcademicAdvising,andIgniteProgramOrientationEligiblefortheFAMUFloridaCommunityCollegeScholarship.Otherservices(e.g., IGNITE programstudentscanobtainanIDcardgrantingthemaccesstoFAMUsportingeventsandotheractivitiesthathavenocostassociated).

CollaboratewithpartnerinstitutionstoidentifyassignedIGNITEadvisorstodiscussimplementingacasemanagementmodelfortheIGNITEFY2019-20cohorts.DevelopaseamlessprocesstotrackandmonitortheIGNITEstudentprogresstowardsobtainingtheirassociatedegree,implementstrategicrecruitmentstrategiestoguaranteeenrollmentintoFAMUforthefinaltwoyearsIntegrateandalignIGNITEprogramrecruitmentgoals,strategies,andresourceswithoveralltransferstudentenrollmentmanagementplanforamorecohesiverecruitmenttoenrollmentstructure.DevelopacommunicationsplantoestablishaninclusiveprocesswithFAMUtransferstudentfrontlinestaffandIGNITEstafftorecruitandenrollstudent.AlignIGNITEprospectivestudentrecruitmentstrategieswithotherprogramenrollmentinitiativestocollaborateonscheduledrecruitmentevents(e.g.,highschoolsandStateCollegevisits,communityevents,athletics,etc.).DevelopasummersessionfortheFall2019-20IGNITEprospects.Asix-weekonlineprogramthatincludestakingtheirprerequisitesforlimitedaccessacademicprograms.ContinuetoengageAlumniasastrategyforrecruitmentIGNITEprospectsaroundthestate.AddressdatasharingbyhostinstitutionsthroughrenewalofMOUssothatstudentsinterestedinIGNITEcanbeproperlyidentified,recruited,enrolledatFAMUandtrackedafterenrollment.DevelopatrackingprocesstoflaginstitutionstotrackdatarelatedtonumberofstudentscomingintoFAMUthroughtheIGNITEprogram.ThiswillallowforthedevelopmentofmetricsrelatedtoIGNITE.
