The Family Nutrition Education Program (FNEP) is a program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Services. The funding is channeled to University Outreach and Extension Human Environmental Sciences through the Missouri Division of Family Services.

University Outreach and Extension is the local link between the resources of the four University of Missouri campuses in Columbia, Kansas City, Rolla and St. Louis; Lincoln University in Jefferson City; and people throughout the state.
