TRENTON CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
THEME: "So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we
passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” 2 Thess. 2:15
September 6, 2016
This is My Father’s World
“This is my Father’s World,
and to my listening years,
all nature sings and round
me rings the music of the spheres.
This is my Father’s World;
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas—
His hand the wonders wrought.”
(Cecil Alexander)
What a wonderful opportunity to gather
this morning with our students, staff,
parents, friends, grandparents and great-
grandparents. We were reminded of God’s
great love and grace revealed to us through
His Word, His Creation, and His Son-Jesus
Christ.
We are excited about our theme this year,
STANDING FIRM. Once again we will be
exploring the beauty in God’s Kingdom
through the study and celebration of the
Biblical Through-lines: Community-Building,
Servant-Working, Order-Discovering, God-
Worshiping, Idol-Discerning, Justice-
Seeking, Creation-Enjoying, Beauty-
Creating, Earth keeping, and Image-
Reflecting. Each month we will highlight one
of these attributes in our chapels/
assemblies, classrooms, and displays.

It has been four months since our thrift store, Treasure Chest Store, has opened for business. We are very excit-
ed by how well it has been received by the community! Not only are things selling well, we are also receiving lots
of donations. God is faithful and good!

This is a wonderful, easy and fun way to fund raise for our school! Please let Henrietta Indewey know if you can
help. Her contact info is [email protected] or 613-475-3436 OR check out the online sign up for all available

A big welcome to SK who will meet

students this week and to get started on
learning about God's amazing world. Just a
reminder that for this week only the 3-day
Kindergarten students come to school on
Tuesday and Friday. We will go back to our
regular schedule next week. This month we
will be focusing on how to become
community builders for Jesus and each
other. I hope you all received the Kinder-
garten email that went out a few weeks ago
that lists the
supplies needed. Please let me know if you
did not receive it. In September, SK will be
exploring their 5 senses in lots of neat ways.
Just a reminder that students are welcome
to bring photos, videos, pictures, stories etc.
of ways they used their 5 senses this past
summer. I can't wait to share
mine! Students are asked to bring $5 to
school to cover photos for portfolio, etc. for
the year. September book orders will go
home this week and should be returned by
next Wednesday, if you would like to place
an order. Cheques can be made out to
Scholastic Canada. A big thank you to all the
families who brought in supplies for our

creating with them! I will post pictures and
stories on our Kindergarten blog next week.
I will email you this week with more infor-
mation concerning the blog.
5-day Kindergarten: This week we will
create a special name for our 5-day mix of
