Everything else, from the higher-than-average ceiling
heights and generously proportioned, light-filled rooms,
to the size of the house plots and choice of finishes, is
decidedly grand.
But then, when you’re building so few homes, it has to be.
We prefer sprawling, open countryside to a sprawling estate. That’s why we’ve kept Jackton View so small scale. Only in terms of the number of homes we build, of course.
F A M I LY H O M E S A S S T U N N I N G A S T H E V I E W S
Dickie & Moore chose to build here because it was unspoilt.By creating so few homes,we’ll keep it that way.
Designed to complement the landscape, not dominate it.
Dickie & Moore believe good architecture
should embrace its surroundings. By building
one and a half storey homes at Jackton View,
each of our three house styles does just that.
Their thoughtful dormer window design reflects
the Scottish vernacular.
At Dickie & Moore, we
believe our homes should
be every bit as attractive as
their setting.
The Peploe
Living here, you’re also well-connected by train; Hairmyres station is six minutes’
drive away, with a half hourly service to Glasgow Central taking around
27 minutes. And Glasgow International Airport is a mere 20 miles away.
There’s both a Morrisons and Sainsbury’s supermarket nearby and some lovely
independent shops, galleries and restaurants in neighbouring conservation
village, Eaglesham.
It is only a ten-minute car journey to the arts centre, village theatre, ice rink,
cinema and shopping centre in East Kilbride or a fifteen-minute drive to
Silverburn which has more than a hundred high street shops, including
Marks & Spencer and Debenhams, several restaurants, bars and bistros and
a 14 screen cinema.
There are several primary and secondary schools within the area too, making
Jackton View the perfect setting for families.
Jackton View, in the hamlet of Jackton, offers
unbroken views of lush, green rolling hills.
Although the hustle and bustle of city life feels like
it’s a million miles away, it’s actually less than 15.
The nearby, new south orbital road on the extended
M77 offers easy access to Glasgow city centre in
one direction, and secluded beaches and some of
Scotland’s best golf courses in the other.
And to think you’re only around twenty minutes from Glasgow.Welcome to countryside that’s commutable.

Since Jackton View has been designed to celebrate the
stunning surrounding landscape, we’ve named each
house style after a celebrated Scottish landscapist.
Introducing the Runciman, the Peploe and the Hunter.
Three distinctive designs.One agonising decision.
The Runciman
The Peploe
The Hunter
Not content with giving you three such striking house styles
to agonise over, we give you even more choice when it comes
to your kitchen (you can select from a range of Jackton Moor
cabinets with Neff appliances) bathrooms and en suites (pick
from Laufen suites with Vado taps and a choice of wall tiling).Decisions,decisions,decisions.
Apologies. We don’t make it easy for you when you buy a Dickie & Moore home.
So what’ll it be, Card Room
Green? Or Rectory Red? Or,
well, actually, you tell us.
You even have a range of
Farrow and Ball colours at
your disposal when it comes
to choosing how we finish
your principal rooms.
From the outset, we strive to make our family homes the
finest. At the design stage, this means allocating ample
storage space without impacting on living space. We
integrate fitted wardrobes (walk-in in our master bedrooms)
and generous cupboard areas so you can enjoy clean, open,
clutter-free living. We make the ceiling heights higher and
the windows bigger. At Jackton View, this brings even more
of the Great Outdoors, indoors.
We’re meticulous. From start to finishes. Like the oak
staircasing. Or the Vado taps. Each home even comes
cabled for satellite with an intruder alarm installed,
as standard.
Once our homes are complete, high spec as they are,
we’re still not content. Not until we’ve landscaped
and planted hornbeam hedges and cherry trees.
We use the best of everything to build our family homes.
From the best architects and the best builders and joiners
and plumbers and electricians, right down to the best nuts,
bolts and door hinges.
This one was handpicked by our founder and Director,
John Dickie.
And only after he had made a personal visit to the factory
floor to be reassured that they were as picky as he was
about precision, process and quality.
We won’t use anything else.
You see, just because you barely notice a door hinge doesn’t
mean we barely think about it.
In fact, often it’s the little things like that that keep us
awake at night. Because it’s paying attention to every detail
that makes the biggest difference.
With Dickie & Moore, high spec is standard
Our reputation hinges on it.
Our collective experience, hands-on approach, and
passion for creating enduring family homes is reflected
in every Dickie & Moore development.
Dickie & Moore are a fifth generation house
building family. We build family homes near our
own ones. When you’re building in your own locale,
and you put your own names to it, the homes you
build have to be exceptional. But that’s okay by us.
Because we wouldn’t build them any other way.
None more so than Jackton View.
Why family run housebuildersmake better family homes.
Here’s a selection of our success to date. We’re just as proud of them today
as we were the day we completed our first development more than 15 years
ago. It makes us feel old, even if these don’t look it.
Our expertise enables us to continually select the right locations for the
right homes that we know our customers will want to live within.
Jackton View offers the perfect balance between its rural surroundings and
contempory living and is a welcome addition to our ever growing portfolio.
Some housebuilders believe they are only as good
as the last house they built.
At Dickie & Moore, we say we are only as good
as all the homes we built. That’s when design and
durability have been truly tested.
John Dickie’s life’s work is making family living
work. Dickie & Moore do it so well that most of our
homes are sold before they are even built.
While pre-selling homes is good news for us, it’s
good news for our buyers too. Because it means you
can be instrumental from start to finish. You want
us to recreate the study as an additional bedroom?
No problem. Or install a wood burning stove in the
family room? Just ask.
We don’t just build homes to love.We build them to last.
Most Dickie & Moore homes are sold straight off the pla…oh! There goes another one.
