My family migrated to United States from Germany and Ireland.

The first wave of immigration was between the years of 1600-1820.

My family on my mothers side came from Germany in the First wave of immigration in the early 1800’s

The Second wave of Immigration was between the years of 1840-1890.

My family on my fathers side came from Ireland and Germany in The second wave of immigration in 1870.

My families Port of Entry was Pennsylvania.

They resided in Herman and Butler.

My grandfathers worked in sales, and my grandmothers were homemakers.

Catholic Religion was very common in the Northern Appalachia area such as Pennsylvania.

My grandparents were raised very Catholic and still continue to be so.

My mother and uncles went to Catholic church every Sunday their entire lives.

- The first significant numbers arrived in 1680’s in New York and Pennsylvania.

- The Pull Factors to United States were better economic conditions, especially the opportunity for farmers to own land.

- My assumptions are that my family immigrated for better farm opportunity considering they owned a farm and worked in the primary sector.
