Family Engagement Families can partner with Gulfside by attending school events, supporting classroom activities,
becoming a Pelican Partner, joining PTO, Watch D.O.G.S and Volunteering!
Principal’s MessageDear Gulfside Families, This month we have lots of great events planned to get our whole community involved! Our staff is planning and working collaboratively with the PTO to make the best Fall Festival EVER! Our red ribbon week will begin the week of October 24th with fun themed days to stomp out drugs! We will end this week on October 28th, which will be a fun day for all as we kick off our morning with Gulfside’s traditional Halloween parade in the bus loop. Our whole staff will be dressed for the occasion and you won’t want to miss all the Facebook pictures posted that day! Remember boys and girls to pick nice costumes with no weapons or blood at school and to bring extra clothes so you are not in your costume all day. At night we are going to have the campus full of events for families to include our annual Trunk or Treat! Families, we would love for you to decorate your trunks, park in the field, and participate with the staff. Invite someone you know who would love to give away candy too. I know my own family will be here to give away treats as well! Our 5th graders will be taking a Gallup Survey in October during the school day. The survey will measure student engagement. I’m excited to see the results of the survey and what our students think and feel about their school. I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to spruce up our campus with things such as new paint on the building, landscaping initiatives, and even new black top on the PE/basketball courts. Gulfside is a great place to work, to learn, and deserves to look fresh and clean for students, staff, and families. Can’t wait to see you all this month and thank you for your continued support!
Sincerely, Mrs. Krapfl
