Synthesis of the Results Management model and the Social Organizational model of community capacity provides the primary lens for our work on resilience for individuals, families, and communities. Over the past decade this basic theoretical lens has been extensively applied to strengthening families and communities. Joint Family Support Assistance Program (JFSAP) Evaluation The Department of Defense, Military Community and Family Policy funded project focuses on measuring the success of this congressionally mandated nation-wide support program for National Guard and Reserve personnel and their families.
Community Capacity Building Project The Department of Defense, Military Community and Family Policy funded project focuses on models and methods of mobilizing communities to support military families. The project is a partnership between UGA and UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Social Work.
Youth Social Networks Study The Army HQ Child Youth and School Services -funded research project explores social network contributions to the well-being of children and youth in army families.
