Families and the Gospel John 20:1-9
That first Easter morning was confusing. Jesus was
missing and Mary Magdalene, Peter and John “did not
know” what to do. In family life there are confusing
moments when “we don’t know” what to do. Like the
apostles we are Easter people when we believe and trust
in each other even when all seems lost.
Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl weekly intention. EASTER SUNDAY: For those we encountered
through CRS Rice Bowl, and all members of our one
human family, that we may follow the example of the
Good Samaritan this Easter season, to “go and do
likewise,” encountering our brothers and sisters who
need help on the road.
And, that we may recognize in our lives this Easter
Season those Good Samaritans who have helped us
better ourselves. We pray to the Lord…

THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP
AS A WAY OF LIFE
“Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.”
Colossians 3: 2
On this day we thank God for His Son, Jesus, who died
and rose for us. We celebrate and sing “Alleluia.” Let’s
try to keep the joy of this Easter season in our hearts
throughout the year! Pray daily and listen for how He is
calling each of us to joyfully use our gifts to fulfill His
salvation plan.

Easter Flower contributors and their intentions can be found in the vestibule on the bulletin board. DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY - APRIL 8th The Parish will commemorate Divine Mercy Sunday,
April 8th; with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Then at 3:00 PM the Chaplet of the
Divine Mercy and Benediction of the Most Blessed
Sacrament will take place. All are welcome to come and
pray.
The Message of the Divine Mercy that Sr. Faustina
received from the Lord was not only directed toward her
personal growth in faith but also toward the good of the
people. When the command of our Lord to paint an
image according to the pattern that Sr. Faustina had seen,
came also a request to have this image venerated, first in
the Sisters’ chapel, and then throughout the world. The
same is true with the revelations of the Chaplet. The
Lord requested that this Chaplet be said not only by Sr.
Faustina, but by others: “Encourage souls to say the
Chaplet that I have given you.” The same is true of the
revelation of the Feast of Mercy. “The Feast of Mercy
emerged from my very depths of tenderness. It is my
desire that it solemnly be celebrated on the First Sunday
after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns
to the fount of My Mercy.”
The Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet begins on
Good Friday and will end on Saturday, April 7th. A
pamphlet containing these prayers can be found in the
vestibule.
Prayers for Easter Jesus, you have risen,
so there is hope for me.
You are no longer in the
power of sin, of evil!
Love has triumphed,
mercy has been victorious!
God’s mercy always triumphs
because God’s love is stronger
than evil and death itself.
God’s love can transform our lives.
God’s love can do this! --Pope Francis
