FALL LINE SKI CLUB BOOK CLUB OCTOBER 7TH, 7:30 - THE TAPROOM 427 Crystal Lake Ave Haddonfield, NJ (Haddon Township) (Meet in the main restaurant by Fireplace)

The book for the month of Oct. will be: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

Unrivaled storytelling. Unforgettable characters. Rich historical detail. These are the hallmarks of Diana Gab-aldon’s work. Her New York Times bestselling Outlander novels have earned the praise of critics and captured the hearts of millions of fans. Here is the story that started it all, introducing two remarkable characters, Claire Beau-champ Randall and Jamie Fraser, in a spellbinding novel of passion and history that combines exhilarating adven-ture with a love story for the ages.

One of the top ten best-loved novels in America, as seen on PBS’s The Great American Read!

Scottish Highlands, 1945. Claire Randall, a former Brit-ish combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding clans in the year of our Lord 1743.

There are many places to get your books. Your local Library (free) you can get the book, audio or on you’re e-reader (Nook, Kindle & etc.). There are also many sites that offer books anywhere from free to $2.99 each.

HAPPY HOUR AT GIUMARELLO’S RESTAU-RANT 329 Haddon Ave., Haddon Township, NJ 08108 Happy Hour Prices are from 11:30 am – 6:30 pm

Giumarello's has always been one of our favorites.

Maybe it’s the location, or maybe it’s the food/beverages, or maybe it’s the ambience. I think it is everything all rolled into one. So, drop by for their Happy Hour specials of reduced appetizers (they change weekly) and $1 off drinks.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11TH HAPPY HOUR AT SEASONS 52 Cherry Hill Mall (Near Nordstrom) 2000 New Jersey 38, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 Happy Hour Prices are from 3 pm – 6:30 pm

Do you know why their name is Seasons 52? First, their

menu of all fresh foods is determined by the current month which changes by the ‘Seasons’ and secondly, they have 52 wines. Some of their drink specials are: $4 se-lected Beers; $6 selected Wines; $6 Cocktails (such as San-gria); and $7 Specialty Cocktails (such as Margaritas). A few of their $5 Small Plates are: Kona-Crusted Lamb; Cara-melized Grilled Sea Scallops, and Ginger Sesame Chicken Skewers. another Dooney’s Pub in Delran. We gotta check it out seeing how much we enjoyed the other one. We will now have double the fun. Their drink specials are: $2.50 Mil-ler Lite/Coors Light/Yuengling pints; $5 Irish Imperial Pints – Guinness, Smithwick’s, Harp, Kilkenny; $6 House Wines; and $6 House Martinis. Their food specials are: $5 Fried Pickles or Mozzarella Sticks and $7 Wings (10), Quesadil-las, Hamburger Sliders (2), or Nachos

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH HAPPY HOUR AT THE CHOPHOUSE 4 Lakeview Drive South, Gibbsboro, NJ 08026 Happy Hour Prices from 4 pm – 7 pm (At the Bar)

lakeside view, what better way to welcome the autumn than to sit on their patio during sunset while enjoying one of their many specials which are: $4 Draft Beer (Stella Artois); $8 select Wines; and $8 Martinis (Vodka, Gin, Ap-ple, Cosmopolitan). Some of their food specials are: $8 for Chef’s Flatbread; or Cheesesteak Spring Rolls; or White Truffle Parmesan Fries; or Crispy Buffalo Shrimp; and $10 for Filet Kona Tips.
