Fall Classic Info The Crash Cup Challenge is open to all superintendents playing in the event and will be

awarded to the low gross winner. The winner also qualifies for the 5th major spot on the FGCSA State Chapter Team that will compete at the GCSAA National Championship in San Antonio in

2015. We will be playing Dye’s Oak Marsh Course for the Classic this year. We will have the awards lunch immediately following golf at the clubhouse on the Marsh View deck. Trophy

presentations and prizes will be awarded. It is sure to be a weekend you will never forget and will not want to miss in the future. We are looking forward to seeing you there.

TheEdwardL“Crash”HallChampionshipCupIn memory of Edward L. “Crash” Hall, we present this award in his honor. Crash was instrumental in forming the NFGCSA and was the association’s first President in 1974. He had various golf course jobs after retiring from the Navy and was asked to construct a 9 hole golf course along the St John’s River at Jacksonville University. He and his wife Mary loved golf and Crash played up until he was 90. He was shooting his age for 15 years.

Dwight “Butch” Singo Award Butch was a golf course superintendent, a salesman, a family man, a spiritual man and a man

who passed away well before his time. He started his sales career working for Par Ex and most remember him as a Harrell’s top salesman. He also served on the board of the North Florida chapter for many years setting up meeting sites, education and lending a voice of experience and knowledge. As a salesman he was as professional as they come and was welcomed by all superintendents and admired by his peers. We all loved and miss Butch very much. For these

reasons we choose to name this prestigious award after Butch Singo and will present it annually to one of our sales people, past or present, who exemplify the qualities that Butch stood for in

serving the golf course superintendents of the North Florida Chapter.

2=Tournament will be an Individual stroke play with a Blind Draw team event. Individuals will play their own ball, with handicap scoring. At the end of competition, teams will be drawn for pairing. Team prizes will be awarded based upon drawings. Individual prizes will be awarded as well.
