Eligibility Parent Information: All full-time employees of Gerdau Midlothian.

Must be actively employed on the date of the

application.

Student: Must be a legal dependent of the employee defined as a

child up to the age of 26.

- Natural Children

- Stepchildren

- Children legally placed with you for adoption

- Children for whom the employee is the child’s

court-ordered legal guardian.

Student must be a high school senior (or equivalent) or

enrolled full-time in a Trade School and/or in a two-

year, four-year undergraduate program at an

accredited institution.

Student must have earned an overall average of 3.0

grade point average, a “B” or equivalent for the

academic year to be considered for an award.

The student cannot be a regular Gerdau employee. A

dependent child hired as a temporary seasonal, part-

time or intern employee may apply.

How to Apply:

- Download the “pdf” Application Form.

- Open the file and complete the application form. You will need Adobe Reader or Acrobat

- Once the Application Form is completed, click the submit button located at the last page of this

Application Form.

- A window will appear asking you to send an e-mail using your Microsoft Outlook e-mail

address or any other Webmail that you owned. (Ex: [email protected], [email protected],

[email protected])

- Click continue and allow Adobe Reader or Acrobat to have access to your e-mail account.

- After you grant access, you will have a draft e-mail on your account that can be edited by you

before sending it. Attach the supporting documents at this time.

All required supporting documents must be uploaded to your online application by the application

deadline.

Add your Full Name on the subject of the e-mail as follow:

All attachments must show your name.

The only acceptable file types are .pdf, .png, .jpeg and .jpg. You may upload multiple files within a

.zip or .rar file. All files within a .zip or .rar file must be in one of the acceptable file types listed

above.

DST does not accept any editable file format. Word documents are not accepted.

If you do not follow the upload instructions exactly, your application may remain incomplete.

Documents that meet the criteria required for this application that are uploaded by the deadline will

be processed and considered on time.

Award Details

Selection Criteria

An independent selection committee will evaluate the

Complete Applications and select recipient considering:

- Academic achievements and records

- Community involvement

- Volunteerism

- Essay content

- Recommendation

Decisions of the selection committee are final and are not

subject to appeal. No application feedback will be given.

Details of Award

Maximum annual award is one-time $1,000 per academic

year per eligible student.

Scholarship will be applied to tuition, fees, books, and

supplies required for course work at accredited institutions

in the United States.

These institutions include: two-year colleges, four-year

colleges, vocational schools, technical schools.

Students may transfer from one institution to another and

retain the award.

Student must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student in

the fall of 2020 and continue the entire academic year

without interruption unless approved by scholarship

sponsor.

Presentation of Check

Funds will be issued via one (1) check.

Check will be made payable to your institution listed on

your profile page.

Scholarship check cannot be made payable to you, the

applicant.

The check will be presented to you and your parent and/or

grandparent at DST office located in 2204 Century Center

Blvd. Irving, TX 75062 on July 31, 2020.
