SUMMER REPORT & UPCOMING EVENTS
Fall 2019
Camp News HIGH HILL CHRISTIAN
WOMEN’S WEEKEND
Save the dates for our relaxed, coffee house
style 2020 Women's Weekend—Feb. 28-29.
We will hear from ladies from different stages
and walks of life and see how we can all find
common ground in Jesus. Pre-registrations
will begin in January at highhillcamp.org.
At last year’s banquet, we
tore down two of our older
buildings in order to begin
our We Believe expansion.
We are very pleased to let
you know that since then,
we have been moving
steadily forward. We would
like to take this opportunity
to invite you and your family
out to High Hill to see the
progress being made. Please
make plans to join us
Sunday, October 6th from
3:00-7:00 pm for our open
house and celebration
banquet. Dinner will be
provided at 5:30 pm, and a
short informational meeting
will follow.
Every summer we hire high school, college age, and even a few adult staff to help us run
camp full time. This team works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that our
campers have the best experience possible. They model Christ’s example of not to be
served, but to serve, and they do it without complaining. We seriously could not make
camp happen without these people. If you know any of them personally, please let them
know how much they are appreciated! Full-time Staff: Marley Butler, Brian Glore, John
Hancock, Lori Hancock; Activities Coordinator: Carrie Morrow; Activities Assistant:
Hannah Finley; Facilities Assistants: Demetrius Coleman, Ben Glore; Kitchen Staff:
Karlie Follmer, Bethany Glore, Chandra Hubbs, Nick Vaughn, Trisha Waters; Lifeguards:
Clayton Lynch, Christian Marble, Micah Ritz, Isaac Vilchis; Medic: Josh Waters.
MISSIONS UPDATE The mission this summer for camp was
the camp itself. The campers were able
to give toward the We Believe campaign
and see firsthand how their giving
impacts the future. The monies given
helped build our third log cabin (left).
Construction began in August and interior
construction begins this month. Praise
God for His blessings!
The grand total that was raised this
summer was $9,219.12!
During each session of camp, campers and sponsors spent missions time learning about the We Believe
projects, and how the camp’s growth is beneficial to the Kingdom. They also spent time writing Scripture on
the foundation walls of the new cabin and spent time praying over the site of Oak Lodge.
We would like to say a quick “thank
you” to some people who helped
make camp possible this summer.
First of all, our deans—thank you for
your planning and hard work to
make your session of camp a
success. Thank you for letting God
use you to impact the lives of
campers. You make our job easy.

SUPER CELEBRATIONS!
We had 19 baptisms at camp
this summer
BECOME
This summer our campers
learned more about what it
means to BECOME more like
Jesus. Many campers studied
the life of David while others
learned about the way our
lives are like a seed that needs
to become a thriving plant. It
seems like every summer we
say this, but this summer was
truly our best summer yet.
We have already begun
planning for 2020, and we
can’t wait to tell you all about
it. We will be publishing dates
in October so that you can get
those on your calendars.
Make sure to like & follow us
on Facebook so you don ’t miss
out on the announcements.

In May, Joe & Brenna Friend left High Hill to accept
positions with St. Louis Christian College. We are
pleased to announce that in August, we were able
to hire Josh Waters to take over the maintenance
position. Both Josh and his wife, Trisha, have been
long time supporters of
the camp—both have
served as summer staff
in a medical capacity.
Most recently, Josh was
our medic for this past
summer and did a
phenomenal job. Josh
has always stepped in and helped out with
anything that needed done while he was here at
camp, so it was a logical jump to hire him as our
maintenance manager. Josh and Trisha officially
moved out to the camp in August, although,
technically they never left after arriving in May.
Their two daughters, Hannah (14) and Sarah (10)
are attending Montgomery County schools and
they are all members of Wentzville Christian
Church. We are very excited to have Josh on staff,
as well as Trisha helping out when and where she is
able. Please help us welcome them to the High Hill
Christian Camp family!
