Overall it was a huge success with over 60 Credit Union Employee’s in attendance. To kick off the morning everyone had a great opportunity to mingle and share ideas with other up and coming Young Leaders! It was great to see everyone participating in the brainstorming session and table discussions. A lot of wonderful ideas were brought to the table and a lot of connections made. CUYLM would also like to thank all our “Books” that supported and took time out of their busy schedule to participate in our Human Library. Amazing stories were shared and enlightened our young minds. The energy in the room was outstanding and couldn’t have made this possible without “YOU”. We sincerely hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as us and truly look forward to bring your ideas into the light!! http://mycumatters.ca/ and Send a letter to your MP Share your credit union story Share on Facebook Share on Twitter let everyone know that My CU Matters! The My Credit Union Matters! campaign is a system wide effort to raise awareness in Ottawa of the differences between credit unions and banks. The campaign aims to drive home the message that higher taxes are limiting credit unions’ ability to lend to local small businesses and families and contribute to important community groups and projects. As such, the campaign is promoting a proposed Capital Growth Tax Credit for credit unions. The tax credit would re-establish a competitive balance between credit unions and the big banks.
