The day starts with a brief introduction to the Art and Sport of Falconry. Learn how falconer’s acquire and train their birds. Mike introduces his collection of hawks, falcons and owls either on his fist or perched inside. Head outside and you will see additional raptors in their mews or breeding chambers. Next watch Mike prepare one of his raptors for flight. Then experience Falconry first hand as Mike let’s one of his birds fly free. Everyone is welcome to participate in the field or watch from a distance. Either way it’s a great photo opportunity! Head back inside for a light lunch with home made bread, soup and local cheese and jams. Immerse yourself in Mike’s extensive library of falconry books, periodicals and artwork in our country kitchen where you’ll get to ask Mike additional questions and share stories. After lunch we set up some of the birds for photos and allow each guest to have their photo taken with Mike and a bird on their fist. A truly unforgettable experience. Group events are hosted in Spring and Fall with a maximum booking of 40 people per event.
