Where a high level of patient care is required, Falck provides its purpose-built Greenfields Medical Centre (GMC).

Typically comprising three 20ft ISO containers, the GMC is completely mobile, containerised and self-supporting to meet the needs of the patients and care givers.

The GMC is freighted to site and is easily connected to existing utility services. Alternatively it remains self sufficient using its generator, potable water tank, water pressure system, black/grey water tank and its self contained/self-sufficient vacuum sanitary system.

Our GMC’s and their Support Cabins are rated to be flown in on long line under helicopters to allow access to remote areas.

Falck has developed a fully containerised and portable drug and alcohol testing facility. Manufactured to ISO standards it is strong and durable and is easily positioned using a crane or forklift.

Plug and play technology is used for utility services including

Greenfield Medical Centre and Helicopter Transportable Medical Centres

power, sewage and water to reduce the need for site works. The insulated and air conditioned facility consists of three separate testing rooms designed for comfort, practicality and security.

Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF)Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) is a specialist category of firefighting involving the response, hazard mitigation, evacuation and possible rescue of passengers and crew of an aircraft, typically involved in an airport ground emergency.

We understand that the speed with which emergency response equipment and personnel arrive at the scene of the emergency is of paramount importance.

Our specialist ARFF service can respond swiftly & effectively to the mass casualty potential of any aviation emergency. Our initial objective - to secure the aircraft against hazards including fire - increases the survivability of the passengers and crew on board.

We have successfully recruited, trained, and deployed ARFF personnel in some of the most remote and inhospitable

areas in the region and have provided overall management of ARFF service deliverables.

Our services are deployed in adherence with established codes of practice including those of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, Civil Aviation Safety Authority and National Fire Protection Codes.

Our firefighters have advanced training in the application of firefighting foams, dry chemical and clean agents used to extinguish burning aviation fuel in and around an aircraft.

Falck can provide airstrip, airfield and airport operators with a complete turnkey ARFF package inclusive of service scope development, personnel selection, recruitment, training, deployment and management as well as the provision of equipment and fleet needs.

Falck rescue tenders and trailers allow for the rapid mobilisation of emergency services rescue equipment in the event of an emergency.

Our rescue tenders and trailers can be supplied with a basic fit-out or fully equipped, ready for deployment in any environment.

Falck rescue tenders are independent, self-contained vehicles removing the need for another vehicle on site whereas our rescue trailers are towed. Either way we can meet the differing demands of our clients. We also have Helicopter Transportable rescue trailers.

We are able to supply comprehensive equipment fit-outs to cover a range of requirements such as fire, hazmat, vehicle extrication, rope rescue, confined space entry, rescue and more.

Inspection, test and maintenance Falck Emergency Services has experience and professional expertise in all facets of portable, passive and fixed fire protection systems. We ensure all your fire protection equipment will operate effectively in an emergency.

We install and maintain all fire protection equipment to current Australian Standards, using qualified staff. Our systems are internationally quality certified, and we are recognised as code of practice compliant with the Fire Protection Association of Australia.

Australia and NFPA Fire Protection Standards contain requirements for periodic inspection, testing and maintenance. Ensuring the reliability and performance of fire protection systems as they age in place is crucial in meeting fire safety design objectives. We have experience and the technology to inspect, test and maintain in:

• fire tank inspections (Remotely Operated Vehicle)

• F&GS water flow tests (ultrasonic) - performance

• F&GS pipeline and fire tank thickness testing (ultrasonic) - mechanical integrity

• internal fire pipeline inspections (corrosion, obstructions)

• fire pump ITM and performance testings

• fire extinguishers, hoses, reels and hydrants

• a wide range of life safety equipment including safety showers and rescue gear

• fire detection and alarm systems

• special hazard systems

• passive fire and smoke systems

• sprinkler systems

Our staff are trained to diagnose faults, then repair or replace components and reinstate your fire systems rapidly and efficiently. We support our clients with 24 hour / 7 day service through an Australian Call Centre and dispatch our technicians to assist. All staff use electronic records management systems to give you accurate, accountable, consistent and timely records of service.

Water Storage TanksInspection, Test and Maintenance The inspection, testing and maintenance of fire water storage tanks is critical to fire safety, consistent with AS 2304-2011 and AS 1851-2012. These water tanks provide the essential stored water for fire pumps and suppression systems.

Our Services are based around the latest technologies to provide cost effective services, whilst minimising water supply disruptions. This includes:

• internal inspection of all tank components with ROV, ensuring easy and safe access while tank remains in service

• external inspection of water tank components

• ultrasonic thickness testing

• leak detection (valves)

Internal coating failure and the quality / water chemistry can increase corrosion activity and significantly affect the structural integrity of the tank. We can conduct water testing to determine corrosion mechanisms.

We can inspect empty fire water tanks with Confined Space trained and equipped personnel and then conduct repairs as required with suitable tradesmen.

We provide a written report and video DVD with any recommended repairs.

Signs of corrosion in sprinkler systems? We can help you!

Fire Sprinkler systems often include the components of metal, water and air. Stagnant oxygen rich waters that are held at relatively high pressures become ideal conditions for corrosion. Over recent years the Fire Protection Industry has become increasingly aware of pipe failure incidents involving microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC). Pipe failures span from pinhole leaks through to blockages in pipes and sprinkler heads.

If you are effected you can now source effective detection, diagnosis and treatment within Australia and New Zealand. Falck has exclusively partnered with Huguenot Laboratories Inc. to provide leading edge MIC solution to Australia and New Zealand.

Do you have or do you want to proactively prevent any of signs of MIC in your sprinkler system, such as:

• black water with a foul, rotten egg odor

• reduced water pressure and flow

• any signs of rust during flow tests

• visible signs of corrosion along pipework

If this is the case we at Falck can help you. We are pleased to offer solutions from Huguenots Laboratories:

• Detection and Diagnosis through water chemistry sampling and tests, ultrasonic thickness testing and internal pipe inspections

• Flushing and cleaning using environmentally friendly products

• Supplying and installing state of the art chemical feed treatment systems to stop corrosion in it’s tracks

• Corrosion monitoring using coupon measurements

• Reducing trapped air in sprinkler systems with wet sprinkler air release systems

Through Huguenot, we also provide systems for controlling corrosion in dry pipe/pre-action sprinklers using nitrogen generators instead of compressed air supervisory systems.
